Jasmine Riecken was my son’s occupational therapist for a year (we only had to stop the sessions because we moved to another state). She has been an incredible professional who not only helped my son make great progress with his challenges but also gave me tools and peace of mind—especially after a difficult experience with another therapist from a different clinic. She was firm when needed but always showed exceptional warmth and compassion. She is sweet, patient, and very attentive in her work. We will miss her dearly and will always recommend her. She is an excellent professional and a wonderful person. All the staff at this place are very friendly, I have nothing negative about our experience there.
This place is the best! After taking my son to three different places for speech therapy we finally came to Children’s Therapy of Woodinville where everyone treats my son with such kindness and respect! He loves coming here and I love the happiness it brings him! Nothing bad to say about anyone here. Great job!!
Both of my kids attend therapy here and I am so happy with the progress I have seen in the year plus we have been going to therapy. We have attended feeding and OT (With Emily & Daniel) Like many other parents experiences, when we first started attending (OT) my son was shy, scared and unsure of his environment. He would cry and refuse to not have his mommy with him. After working through these fears and big feeling he began to ask for mommy to stay out of his sessions. When we started feeding therapy, he only had a few are foods on his safe list and was loosing weight. Therapy was not an option for us, we had to do something. With patience and exploration of foods, began to build new and different foods on our list. I am proud to say he is now the healthiest he has ever been with a great appetite. I have watched his confidence grow, and him become a totally different boy. I implore parents to trust the team at CTW, they are amazing people with the ability to help your children in ways you don’t necessarily expect or see in the moment, but the big picture looking back is more powerful than one could ever expect.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this clinic with my 2-year-old toddler and mother. From the moment we arrived, my son was understandably scared and crying due to the unfamiliar environment. What made this experience truly shocking was the therapist, Jasmine, who made zero effort to comfort my child. Instead of offering any assistance, she sat with a stern, detached expression, leaving me and my mother to frantically try and calm him down on our own. We know that music usually helps soothe my toddler, so we played some children's songs at a reasonable volume in a room with closed doors. To our surprise, Jasmine asked us to turn it off without giving any reason, adding to the tension rather than alleviating it. Throughout the entire session, she showed no patience or empathy, merely sitting back and watching as my son cried. What truly drove us to leave was when my son got frightened by the watch she was wearing. I politely asked if she could pull her sleeve down just a little to cover it, hoping it might help ease his fear. She refused, saying: "No, I’m just going to leave it here as is. I always wear it, and I’m just going to leave it here." At that moment, I realized that with her attitude and approach, there was no chance of making meaningful progress in this session. We left with my son still upset, and I shared my concerns with the clinic staff. To their credit, the staff and managers listened to my feedback attentively, which I do appreciate. However, the therapy experience itself was appallingly poor. I would not recommend this therapist to anyone, and I sincerely hope no other child or parent has to endure such a distressing and unprofessional session.
Children's Therapy of Woodinville has been amazing to our family. We have 3 children and each of them have been treated here by different therapists and we have seen tremendous progress in all 3. Our oldest son is currently being seen for Occupational Therapy and his treating therapist has focused on overall emotional regulation, fine motor skills, flexibility, etc. We have seen amazing progress over the last year. He is now able to attend to tasks in school, he actually enjoys fine motor activities now, his focus has improved and we see his happy self more often! He also previously attended speech therapy and the therapist he saw was great with following his lead. She found ways to address his speech needs and decrease his frustration in ways that he loved! Our daughter is currently in speech therapy and we have seen so many gains. I love being taught all of the different strategies to support her in a respectful and fun way. She has gained so much language and her crying/tantrums have decreased since being able to talk more! Our infant son also was born with torticollis and feeding concerns due to tongue tie and we saw both a PT and Feeding Therapist. We were supported through 2 tongue tie releases to ensure the best outcome and function for breast and bottle feeding and have been able to build strength and function from their recommendations. The PT was so kind and gentle with our son and based on her simple home recommendations we were able to improve motor function from 10th to 90th percentile! We are so pleased with ALL of the support from this clinic and all of their therapists. I highly recommend Children's Therapy of Woodinville.
