What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise this daycare for its inclusive, caring environment, comprehensive curriculum, and strong communication. Staff are described as experienced and welcoming, with particular recognition for special needs accommodation. One parent criticized scheduling practices after an unsuccessful tour.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this program. My son just started in the pre-K program. He has autism, but he's high functioning. They worked with his BCBA to come up with a behavior plan before he started. We had multiple meetings to discuss how they could accommodate my son. They are incorporating lessons on autism into their curriculum to help the other children understand the areas where my son struggles to promote diversity and inclusion. The teachers interact with him and actually take instructional control rather than leaving it to the RBTs. He's included in every single activity they do. The teachers, staff, directors, and everyone there has been absolutely amazing to work with and they have all been so kind and welcoming to my son. I'm also so impressed with the curriculum and the activities that they do. Parents are sent a detailed schedule each week that shows the lesson plans, which are so interesting! They have a total of an hour and a half outside every day (weather permitting), which is absolutely wonderful and necessary for kids that age. The lunch menu every day looks so amazing. 10/10 amazing program.
My son attended Bright Horizons at Research Park from the time he was 3 months until he left for Kindergarten. He was very prepared for Kindergarten. He loved coming to school and loved his teachers. They were very caring and great at communicating any needs and how he was doing. I loved the family feel every time I came in. I am so glad I decided to bring him to this center. We have gained a family for life.
My daughter attends bright horizon for over a year now. She started at the toddler classroom and then transferred to the 2’s. We love this place, it feels like a community! The teachers and staff are very caring for kids and do awesome job to address any concerns parents have. Communication is always easy and in time! The food they provide is healthy and fresh. A lot of fun activities in the curriculum and webinars for parents to learn and communicate their concerns. We transferred to another school after a year because we moved further south and the traffic was bad…. It was a huge debate for us… but I hate to be locked in the car in the highway 🥲. Wish they have a branch somewhere near Sandy/ cottonwood heights.
This center is a community staple that has been around for years. You can find a good mix of experienced educators that have been at the center for years and new fresh educators that bring new persepective. This center is so inclusive and you can see and feel it when you first walk in the front door. Not all centers strive for community engagement, satisfaction and inclusion, but this center does to its fullest. I recommend taking a tour and seeing it for yourself.
I can't say much about the facility. Why? Because after scheduling a tour and driving an hour to see the place, they tell me as we walked in, that his age group is full and they won't be taking on any more children until NEXT YEAR. Unprofessional and lacking common courtesy to keep this information from a potential "client". I will be looking elsewhere or asking FAR more questions since they seem to lack in the area of answering those questions that shouldn't have to be answered by wasting a good part of a day driving.
