What Parents Say
This Tutor Time location has highly polarized reviews, with most parents praising staff quality, cleanliness, safety, and individualized child care, while a minority report serious concerns about staff conduct, inadequate supervision ratios, and lack of responsiveness to parent complaints.
I could not have asked for a better care of my granddaughter than tutor time! Ms. Melinda is so caring in the infant room. My granddaughter smiles every time she sees her. Ms. Deedee who is the director there is also amazing and all of the changes she has made. This is one of the best decisions ever and my mind is at ease knowing she is well cared for
Tutor Time Brill location I would AVOID at all costs. They have teachers from every class sitting down in their phones, not watching the kids. Martha at front desk demonstrates she does not any concern or worry when a parent bring up the many issues at this location . MANAGER is never there. They have kids enrolled that are the teachers kids who are biting other kids and do absolutely Nothing about it . They give out the wrong information when it comes to paying fees and other information. They are mixing the OLDER kids when the 1 year olds and all they have to say is “ we don’t have any teachers” “ there’s nothing we can do “ when the older kids are spitting in the younger kids faces. Pushing them around , taking things away from their hands . My sons always coming home with different bruises and scratches and no incident reports are made. They have teachers watching the younger ones when they aren’t allowed to or just stand around and do nothing . The kitchen and storage is always dirty. They needs to get on top of her employees , this is not acceptable! They don’t understand daycare is the last thing we want for our kids and show no respect to the parents or kids.
This was an extremely awful experience, between cursing, talking poorly about parents, unsupervised toddlers( pulled fire alarm ) and more parent trash talk, this location is a huge mess. I stand behind the high bar Tutor Time sets in child day care, but this location need some serious investigation, and perhaps new staff due to jaded views towards parents. I had scheduled a meeting with the director at 5:30 PM she left before ever speaking with me or rescheduling. I stayed and filled out my intake paperwork and within the first five minutes of being there I heard a curse word coming out of the mouth of the teacher for the two-year-old toddler’s. I watched as the “teachers” sat back and gossiped at Receptions all while scolding two toddlers asking after they had continuously been messing with the light switches; yet, no one had actually tried to redirect the two toddlers, so inevitably one of them had pulled the fire alarm. After manually disarming the fire alarm one of the teachers told the child “you lucky you ain’t coming home with me” ( I almost walked out right then and there) I Continued to sit through the gossip and trash talk of parents. The phone rang, someone had called saying they would be late to pick up their child. When the phone call had ended The teachers began to negatively talk about the inconvenience of Parent Always being late. One of the teachers had even gone as far to say it “ i don’t like her” after a woman and walked away with her child. Just a horrible experience. I am torn because I live half-a-mile away, this location would have been perfect for my family. But overall I feel like I dodged a huge bullet.
It's extremely expensive and for what? They don't even meet the ratio of teachers to kids. There would routinely be one adult and 6 or 7 babies. Every time I brought clothes or toys for my baby (in their own bag, with her name on them) they would be given to another child and I'd never see them again. My baby had a hard time transitioning to daycare and would cry a lot because she just wanted to be held. They would leave her on the floor on the rough carpet, screaming and crying and writhing around until her fingertips were literally missing layers of skin. She was so exhausted when I brought her home. There's a plaque by the door that says they made over a million dollars, but they can't pay more people to be there? One of the teachers literally told me her supervisors watch her and she'd get in trouble for spending 'too much' time comforting any baby. Not to mention - EVERY single time I visited, teachers would be screaming at the kids playing on the playground. Theyre just children. I hate this place and will never recommend it to anyone.
I am giving this facility 3 stars because Ms. Leah was absolutely amazing. If she wasn’t in the infant room, it would have been less. Ms. Tameka, who works in the front desk, was also very nice, although at first, she can come across as harsh. Some of the other girls working in the infant room wouldn’t even talk to me when I dropped of my daughter. There were multiple times I would come in to a 1:7 ratio, which is against the law. I picked TutorTime because of its low 1:4 ratio and it was hardly ever met in the morning. They have a really cool app that you can see all the activity your baby does, but after the first week they stopped sending me pictures and a few times didn’t input her feedings. There were also several times that she came home in the wrong diaper size and would soil her clothes because of it. We were only there for a little over a month, but it was overall not the best experience. If it wasn’t for Ms. Leah, we would not have considered staying.
