Orangewood Christian Academy

My 2 and 4 year old both go here. I was so nervous to try to put them in daycare after being a stay at home mom and they have been amazing. Their pricing is great. I love how many activities they do with the kids and they get to go outside twice a day. The only thing I have that I wish they could provide is lunch or offer an option to pay for lunch.

I called and asked a few questions about the center and I was told to make an appointment to give the center a tour, I was given the option 9-11am or 1-4pm, I chose 1pm since my older children are done school at 2:45pm. I drove to OCA and let the woman at the front desk know that I was there for my 1pm appt. I knew that she was the one on the phone who made the appt because of her particular tone of voice. She leaves and then comes back and says "mmm mmm honey you got it wrong, I remember now tellin' you it is 11, cuz I never would say 1 cuz they take they nap at 1pm so no, you missed it, it was 11" I was very surprised by the sudden attitude and the fact that she was accusing me of lying. I explained to her that I was very clear about 1pm because I wrote it down as I was on the phone, but I said ok then please let me reschedule. She tells me ok sweety well you got 9-11am or 1-4pm, of course I say "excuse me? Can you repeat those times?" and again she says the same so of course I say, "well why is 1pm available tomorrow and not today if it is 1:10pm right now." Instead of even apologizing she simply says "Yeah ok, 9-11am or 2-4pm" I tell her that I would have to get back to her on that and simply leave. My husband shows up as I walk to my car, I explain the situation, he goes in and asks to speak to a manager at which point she then seems apologetic and blankly states it "might" have been her error. The lack of professionalism and the arrogance of this woman is a BIG warning sign that they are not trustworthy, please do not send your children here! I met a parent at the day care center we chose instead and she said she took her child out of OCA because of the "flaky" behavior of Staff and cleanliness issues, enough said.
