Tiny Town Child Care Ministries

We used to attend this church on a fairly regular basis. Our daughter was dedicated at Waypoint. When it came time to choosing her infant daycare we chose another facility for a few reasons but looked forward to bringing her to Tiny Town when she officially turned 1 and would be in a toddler room. She attended daycare here 02/2024 - 09/2025. I’m sad to report that my husband and I had instant regret but due to cost and waiting list we kept her there. We hardly received any photos in the first 6 months here which made me nervous and made both of us sad because we enjoyed that at her other daycare. Verbal updates from staff members was pulling teeth and we still didn’t get much (besides the 2’s room with Miss Kay who is no longer there). We would get updates that were inaccurate. They would log she ate all or most of her lunch and it was barely touched. When asked about this they said “that’s what we normally put.” Giving false updates isn’t helpful. Our pediatrician urged us to find another daycare when our daughter began having chemical burns from not being changed often enough (we had ruled out everything else with allergy and derm). I am usually a calm individual and specifically remember being in near tears talking to Michelle, the director, about the lack of diaper changes (even though they were being “logged”) who just stared blankly at me and didn’t say anything. This was the morning after it was logged she had changed Lily’s last diaper which was false-the log wasn’t even correct because she wasn’t in the building at the time. Finally, a staff member admitted to me that someone was logging diaper changes for our child and it couldn’t be true because within 5-10 minutes she’d be with our daughter and the diaper appeared to not have been changed for a long time. The staff member suspected of this neglect is no longer there and the issue finally ended but this went on for MONTHS while my daughter was in her care. Incident reports for injuries would sometimes be entered at the end of the day after pick-up. Her last week there she had 2 face injuries and 1 more on her body. I had to express my concern that within 24 hours she had 2 face injuries and ask them if there was low staffing or another reason why and why they didn’t know how the scratch occurred (from below her eye to bottom of her cheek). As for development, I don’t believe tiny town offered much. It was a lot of the same. Our daughter went from having advanced fine motor skills to having average skills and her speech was really slow to take off. They let the kids watch Spidey without discussing it with parents which I personally don’t agree with when there is no discussion about it (fast-paced, fighting bad guys, bright, music: high stim). There was a prize system for good behavior that included giving 2 year olds full-size airheads, blow pops and nerds. I truly can’t tell you the activities they did other than sometimes paint and put stickers on paper for her 2s room due to poor communication and updates overall. Our daughter now attends another daycare and after only 1 week she was back to thriving in every way. They have morning and afternoon activity stations. We get pictures everyday. There’s not a single tv in any of the classrooms. And an outdoor play area is right outside their door giving them easy and fast access to get outside and play often. And candy/prizes are not allowed. Her meltdowns have turned into discussions. She obviously still has meltdowns at some times but that’s expected because she’s two. Do I think your child will be safe at Tiny Town? Yes. Do I think they’ll get lots of love? Depends if you’re a difficult parent and if your child is difficult, which is why my husband and I began to stop saying anything. Do I think your child will be offered opportunity to have advanced development? No. Due to our disheartening experience with Tiny Town daycare at Waypoint church, we naturally drifted from the church itself.

As a first time mom i was very nervous on what childcare i would be taking my daughter too. When i discovered Tiny Town they were very helpful on the phone and understanding with me wanting to take multiple tours and ask tons of questions before my daughter started her daycare journey. This is only my daughter’s second week and i am very grateful with their communication on diaper changes, feeds, naps, picture and random updates. They were also very patient with my husband and i blowing up their messages regarding our daughter. Rachel was so much help and so far all the ladies/ girlies there working are so sweet and helpful. I 100 percent recommend tiny town.

When and if they ever call me back I may change this
