The Tots' Spot LLC

I'm giving 2 stars ONLY because they gave me and the rest of the parents a 2 day notice they were closing their door, and all of us parents would be out of childcare, and the employees out of work. No heads up, to the parents OR the employees. The employees didn't even know the owner was closing her doors. A lot of us are single parents who do this all by ourselves. So a little heads up, would have gone a long way. As far as staff, I can't complain at all. I love love love my children's providers. Mrs. Candi is awesome, my kids love her, so is Kaylee, and Becky! My children love them all! My little Stoney is upset about not seeing you guys no more. I never had problems with anyone there, including the owner. They were all super friendly, and good to my kids. I know everyone struggles and has their own things going on, but this is so unprofessional, and inconsiderate of other people and their lives.. Employees are out of jobs now and mothers and fathers are struggling to find child care so they too aren't out of work, with only a 2 day notice. Thank you to the staff that worked VERY hard for our kids, your work DID NOT go unnoticed. I appreciate you guys more then you know and will truly miss you! I pray for blessings to come your way. Lori, I'm sorry for whatever you are going through, thank you for being patient with me on making payments I think you are a genuinely good person, but as a boss, you should have given your employees a little more notice. They are good people, and hard workers and have been faithful and dedicated to you. You should have done the same. Take care, and God bless.

The teachers are nice but the owner is too controlling. She didn’t like the fact that I was asking my kids teachers questions about how their day went because it “took too long” when in reality I was asking normal questions about my kids day. I told her that I’ve never had a daycare complain about that before and that I will continue to ask questions about how my kids went, and she told me that we couldn’t come back. The owner is VERY controlling and it’s just very weird how she didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t ask the teachers questions. The teachers are awesome though. I just wish their was a better owner. Don’t bring your kids here if you want to have a say in how things go. The owner will only take her way.

I would never trust to leave my kids here again. There are good employees that care, but the owner or manager seems to be overly controlling for the most random things. Not to mention how filthy it was in there, and I’m not sure, but it smelled like cigarettes inside. Spend the extra money and send your kids somewhere safe. Because apparently our money wasn’t even used to pay the staff according to a couple of employees there.

What can I say about this place? I was a retired women who decided to take a part time job where my grand children were currently attending. Im 65 years old and this was the worst job Ive ever had. I was thrown into the two/three year old room first day alone with no training. I didnt even know the names of the children so I could properly care for them. After that I was thrown around rooms until I finally ended up taking the school kids room for afternoons. We were always over ratio, and I was told to go into kitchen and do all the dishes and clean while watching the kids which was a daunting task with some of the current kids who had habits of being violent against other children but nothing was ever done for this. Everything was disorganized, dirty, the owner is rude and treats employees like her personal slaves and talks to us like dirt. I finally put in my two weeks from the stress of the job. My grand children were pulled not long after but not because of me leaving the daycare. Stay far far away from this facility. Unless you want a untrained, abused and over worked employee tending to your child.

Absolutely terrible people at the front, a nasty lady that won't let you even talk in there because she has had 'people use bad words before', and told me 'chatter is for outside', after I was explaining I am the father there to pick my daughter up and she tells me I'm my name isn't on file and it 'must've gotten lost or something', had my father not been with me they would have not let me pick my daughter up. Needless to say I am contacting anywhere I can to get her in a better daycare. Please for the sake of your children do not bring them here.
