Little People'S Workshop

I moved here from Colorado & went to two other churches before finding the one that fit for me, Hood UMC. Mission work is a priority in this church, which really resonates w/me. People are friendly & welcoming. I've attended several Bible study classes, & it has really enriched my life. This church is a blessing.

I just want to say THANK YOU!!!! I am a single mother, I came home from work yesterday afternoon and my daughter and her friend told me that two women from your church gave them lunch yesterday! In fact, Grace said, "We got a Capri Sun, Mom!". LOL that is SO adorable and very much appreciated because as a single Mother who's often involved. I asked, "How do you know when to take something from a stranger and when NOT to take something from a stranger?". She said, "I just knew Mom". Amen little sister. You delivered them food to Old Stone but, plot twist; we actually live at 60 West! That's one thing many do not understand. Just because we live in a nicer area or have a nicer vehicle, to say we are rich is far from the truth. I have been struggling since the election to be honest what you did yesterday, it mattered. I manage a couple small, local business and we run a food drive every year through the month of December. I want you to have the proceeds this year. We average about 1,000 nonperishable. What a brilliant way to approach feeding someone who's actually hungry. Especially one to proud to admit it. Incredible. You touched my heart. Which has been a little hardened lately. Wonderful Church. Very friendly. An older Church but with two different kinds of services 8:30 and 10:45 There is also childcare.

We get to help serve here at the community kitchen. What a great way to serve the community and connect with local people. Nice and clean facility that is there to help and serve the community.

This church is often open for community events. They stay involved in the local community.
