The Sunshine House

I would leave 0 stars if possible. I had to console my wife in the parking lot after dropping our daughter off for her first day, despite confirming the start date with the director 2-3 weeks prior, because they didn’t seem prepared for her. We received a call 45 minutes later advising we had to pick her up because they didn’t have the staff to care for her THE ENTIRE WEEK, which was extremely difficult for two working parents. There was no communication to let us know this was even a possibility. I had to do all of the follow-up to ensure she had a spot the following week, but we did not once receive an explanation or apology. We were fortunate to find a new place in town for our daughter and let the facility know, however, I am still getting charged, so that is just more time I need to spend fixing their error. I can’t speak to the quality of childcare services, but dealing with the administration at this facility has been extremely difficult and added much stress to an already chaotic time.

My daughter has been attending the sunshine house since she was 12 weeks old. She is now 4 and just graduated from daycare. Although we are so excited for her to go to big girl school we are going to miss everyone at the sunshine house. I have never had any complaints and have only ever had positive feedback and experiences with the sunshine house. I could never thank them enough for everything they have done and for loving my daughter while I was at work and caring for her just as I would. A bitter sweet moment for us but I will always recommend to other families.

Our family loves the Sunshine House in Powdersville. Choosing a place to send our baby girl was hard as first time parents. We toured several centers and I felt as if I would never find the right fit. The first time we met Erin and toured the center I felt at ease. We felt comfortable sending our baby to the Sunshine House. She has been in two rooms now and we love all of the teachers she has had. They communicate with us well and take great care of our daughter. I feel like she is learning so many things because of her teachers and peers. I wouldn’t choose any other place for our daughter.

My son has been at The Sunshine House since August last year. This was a difficult move for him at first because he had been at his prior day care for 4 years. I can honestly say this was the best move we could've made! The staff are amazing and helped make the transition for him and us so easy. I cherish the staff and appreciate how much they love and take care of my child . Mrs. Erin and Mrs. Sam do a great job!

Sunshine Rocks! Our son has been going to Sunshine since he was an infant and now he is three! My wife and I are both educators and we are continually impressed by the love and dedication the teachers show to our son. Our son has learned so much and he is ready to enter school. Thanks to Erin for her leadership in making Sunshine a safe place that prides itself on love and learning.
