We moved from Alaska and searched for a great daycare to take our little girl. We found Sunshine house at CSU and couldn’t be happier. Conveniently close to campus. The management and staff are amazing. Every morning and every afternoon when my little girl comes and goes, she has to give everyone a hug. The facility is extremely clean and well-maintained. The outside playground for pre-K is large and well-kept. They do all sorts of fun activities for the children. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quality place for their children to go.
If your kids go here, maybe you like it… maybe you don’t. Just sharing my experience. Emailed about part time care (with details), was told there was a spot, scheduled a “tour” turned away at the door only to be told they don’t offer that kind of spot (single day per week). Directed to try other location, thank goodness I called ahead to the other location, as they don’t offer that either…. Huge waste of time and now have to look for other options, you’d think the “director” would be better informed.
We are so excited about having our son at the Sunshine House at CSU. It is such an enriching experience for him and we love hearing about his day and all the fun he has. -Julia G
The core teachers are great but the SC based private equity firm relies on cheap college students in education programs on campus at CSU, leading to staff shortages. The newest director is amazing but area and state supervisors are driven by bonuses and make poor management/hiring decisions. The private equity company is cutting corners every chance they get in food quality, professional cleaning, and supplies to maximize profits, hoping enrollment doesn't drop with continued increases and junk fees. This place would truly fall apart without the caring staff who make this place work. Keep that in mind when you see the registration fees, as the teachers are not getting a piece of the tuition increases.
We have been at Sunshine House for over a year now and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. From the infant room to toddler room, our son has been well cared for and is developing & learning so much! We could not be more appreciative and thankful for the incredible teachers and staff/management at this location. So much so that we drive 15 miles in the opposite direction from both home and work to take our child here. We also (briefly) switched daycares to a closer location just to end up coming back here...and we're not leaving!
