Genesis Miramont South is a great facility, and I recommend Con as a personal trainer. I hadn’t been to a gym in years (decades?), and Con demonstrated and patiently taught me the proper way for me to use weights and equipment to meet my goals and not get injured. Con also helped teach me core and cardio exercises, and the importance of adding protein/creatine for recovery and muscle building. Great experience!
Esteban Trujillo at Miramont is one of those people who truly walks the walk. He’s an incredibly dedicated trainer, a hard-working and inspiring athlete, and someone who clearly leads by example in how he shows up for his clients and his community. Beyond his knowledge and professionalism, he’s just a genuinely good person and someone I have a lot of respect for. As a runner and business owner myself, I really admire the standard he holds for himself and the people he works with. If you’re looking for a trainer who’s passionate, consistent, and fully invested in helping others succeed, you’re in great hands.
The customer service at the 901 Oakridge Dr. location is non existent. I had a membership for a year and paid my whole contract when I fell behind. I thought I canceled in September and it turns out I did not cancel. When I went in the see what could be done since the charge was still pending the membership manager was abysmal. She just kept repeating that I signed a contract and the billing already happened so she could not do anything. No compassion or understanding at all. To top it all off to try and be helpful she offered a free month of membership, ridiculous! I will NEVER sign up with them again! UPDATE: I see that the owner replied to my original post. The owner must have not read my post. I did not have issues with the contract and the gym was meeting my needs. I am upset because I am in customer service myself and I would never treat someone or speak to someone the way I was spoken to. Sounds like the owner is more worried about making the gym look good then actually take care of the customers or real issue.
I saw this rather unpleasant shorter blond woman giving two gentleman a hard time. From what I understand one of them was trying to bring a guest to try out the gym and the Women was being short and unpleasant with both of them. When I tried out the gym a few years back I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to have a free day to try things out and see how I liked it, same with a couple friends I’ve brought. It makes me sad to see others getting different treatment. Hope it can be worked out in the future, hate to see it.
Edit: 3-4 months in and still waiting on new assault bikes. Spoke with general manager about a month and an half ago and he said he was “submitting the budget to corporate for approval”. To spend $2k on new exercise equipment that was constantly broken?! How is maintenance/replacement not already in the budget? How cheap and inefficient must this company be run that it takes months and months to get “approval from corporate” to replace equipment? Original review: Equipment frequently broken. They had two Assault bikes, then down to just one with a wobbly pedal, and now that one’s been out of order for weeks. Had an employee tell me they were trying to “Frankenstein” the two together to make one working bike. This is supposed to be the fancy premier club. Not sure why they won’t buy new ones. They aren’t very expensive.
