The Learning Nook

If you care about your child at all, you would never take them to this daycare. Hands-down, the worst daycare experience I’ve ever had. The director is money hungry, and on a power trip. Both toddler room teachers were fired because they threatened to call DCFS on their own employer because needs were not being met for the children. Now the toddler room only has assistants filling in until they can find someone to replace those two teachers. Now my daughter has came home with face bruises three weeks in a row, and I threatened to call DCFS on them so they kicked my child out of daycare. Which is illegal but who wants to keep their child somewhere they are not tended to properly anyways.

Our experience with the Learning Nook has been genuinely positive, marking a memorable chapter in our child's early development, especially considering their special needs. The staff's commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment was evident from the start, creating a space where our child felt comfortable, supported, and able to form meaningful connections with both peers and adults. What stood out to us was not just the care and attention given to each child's individual needs but also the sense of community the Learning Nook cultivates. This has been invaluable for our child, offering both a supportive learning environment and the chance to develop socially in a nurturing setting. As we prepare to transition to full-time therapy, we reflect on our time at the Learning Nook with a deep sense of gratitude. It has been a place where our child could grow, learn, and thrive among friends and supportive caregivers. To other parents considering the Learning Nook, we can share that our experience was very positive, marked by thoughtful care and an inclusive, friendly atmosphere. Thank you to everyone at the Learning Nook for your dedication and for making our child's time there so rewarding. It's been a foundational experience for them, one that we will always appreciate and remember fondly.

teachers are very friendly and always make sure the children are reaching their fullest potential, very helpful, loving, and caring staff. Linda would go out of her way to make sure all kids are safe and taken care of, i would recommend The Learning Nook to anyone! Gives me peace of mind knowing these kids are loved and cared for by all staff.

Worker Haley Lindsey is using her job at this establishment to tell people on Facebook NOT to bring their children in if they aren’t working, and that you only cater to WORKING parents. If that day is paid for and the parent has an interview or an appointment or errands, it’s NONE of her business; the day is paid for & she should just keep her weird opinions to herself and do her job. Furthermore, she was also shaming LOW INCOME families as well. If this is the content of the character of your employees, on top of your reviews that are months to over a year old that are HORRIBLE as well, don’t expect to remain open long.

I have two children that attend Learning Nook. They both love it there. Their teachers are awesome. They have a homely feel and that is particularly what I was looking for. My children made friends easy and the owner and director are both amazing! I am so glad that I made the decision to have them care for my children. When you walk in, your instantly greeted by a teacher, director or even a fellow parent. Transition was quick and the teachers made the children feel like they have been there all along. Very friendly staff!! A+++
