We’ve had a wonderful experience at this center, especially since the new director, Kandi, joined. She brings such positive energy and great communication, and it really shows in the way the center is run. My daughter has had amazing teachers — Ms. Yang, Ms. Grise, and Ms. Megan — who truly care about the children. Her days are filled with structured learning that I can see is preparing her very well for kindergarten, along with a nice variety of enrichment activities throughout the week. Overall, it’s a loving, nurturing, and well-organized environment. We’re very happy here and highly recommend this center!
My child is a transferee from another daycare so I have a point of comparison to say the teachers and staff of SGA are of high quality and calibre. Teachers are committed to your child’s academic and overall success and happiness. Yes, success, even at a very young age. My 4yo is thriving, learning, eager, happy and confident. It’s amazing how teachers are balancing this rigor with kindess and compassion. I wish I had enrolled my child sooner. 2 months in and he can count in both english and mandarin, add, subtract, he can sound out words and identify the first letter of the word.
Our daughter is in her second year with Springfield Genius Academy. She started with not much of a Mandarin language base, and now will just randomly spout out Chinese vocab and poetry at times, much to our delight. SGA is a warm and supportive environment, and we have found the teachers and administrators to be deeply caring. I would characterize the education as rigorous but not overbearing. Our daughter has also developed many friendships that we hope will be lifelong (and we have too with the parents!).
My sons attended Springfield Genius Academy. I mainly wanted them to learn Chinese. After a year at this school they started to speak mandarin with my wife. I was so surprised how much mandarin they learned at school. The teachers are patient with my sons and responsible taking care of my sons. I highly recommend this preschool.
Both our kids attend SGA and they love it! The staff is friendly, teachers attentive, and families lovely!
