The Learning Cottage

We chose The Learning Cottage because we liked that they balance learning with play, and it’s honestly been a great decision. Our daughter comes home excited and is always showing us something new she’s learned, which has been really fun to watch. We’ve been impressed with how much she’s picked up already — not just letters and early reading skills, but also things like being kind, helping others, and taking responsibility. The teachers and staff are always welcoming, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the kids. Any questions or concerns we’ve had have been handled quickly, which gives us a lot of peace of mind. Most importantly, we feel confident that our daughter is safe, happy, and well cared for every day. We’d definitely recommend The Learning Cottage to any family looking for a daycare that’s both educational and nurturing.

Our daughter has been in two other daycares before, and The Learning Cottage is by far the best in our area. The director, assistant director, and all the teachers do a wonderful job communicating updates, celebrating learning milestones, and creating a warm, welcoming environment. Their curriculum is thoughtful and engaging, the snacks are healthy, and the calming scent of essential oils greets you when you walk in. We've had the best experience and are so grateful for the care our daughter receives here.

We have been with Learning Cottage since June 2022. Over the past 2 1/2 years our children have been in all of the classes ranging from infant to private kindergarten. We love the Learning Cottage diverse educators and staff. Everyone really gets to know your children as individuals and cares about their well-being and growth. Any concerns or feedback I have given is truly heard and feels as though it’s something they value. It’s also a great perk that healthy, organic snacks are included twice a day. I always speak highly of LC and would recommend it to anyone with young children in the area.

My son is 4 years old and has been attending The Learning Cottage for the past year and will be there until he graduates to Kindergarten next year. We absolutely love it. It’s like a family and the very clever Fusion curriculum seems to be the perfect balance for their young minds. In my interpretation of it, it’s a good combo of structured lessons, routine and going at their own pace all rolled into some amazing themes that change weekly and monthly. My son is so enthusiastic and excited about all he is learning there and he adores his teachers. This was not the case where we were before. The teachers and school directors at The Learning Cottage are phenomenal. Every one of them is very professional yet so loving and kind. I leave my cherished little guy there with no worries throughout the day. And that, for me, is priceless. We're just waiting for the the Learning Cottage Elementary school to open up... :)

We discovered The Learning Cottage in 2022 after it was recommended to us by a colleague. After doing our best to care for our daughter at home during the pandemic, we realized we were unable to meet her educational and developmental needs. Our initial tour of The Learning Cottage left us feeling completely confident that this was the best place for Maeve and our family (a feeling we had yet to experience at many other centers). We were thrilled when a part time spot opened in the JPI classroom and were able to quickly transition into a full time role. Within just a few weeks Maeve’s speech and excitement to learn blossomed and she has continued to excel at The Learning Cottage. She was speaking incessantly, making friends, and having fun! She (and we) absolutely adore her teachers and their commitment to each child’s academic and socioemotional development is obvious. We are so grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community and don’t want to think about what we’ll do when it’s time to move on!
