The Growing Place

While I don't doubt the sincerity of the owner's beliefs, our child regressed significantly while under their care. It's sterile (not in a good way), and while there are some truly amazing souls that work here (Jessie with the brown hair and Megan are wonderful!), the owner lets her best friend, one of the head teachers, manipulate her and cause problems. If your child is a normal toddler who does occasionally throw tantrums and, well, acts like a toddler, take them elsewhere. The fact that our child not only overcame all of the regressions from his five months at TGP and grew tremendously but that he was also not ever labeled a problem child or continuously yelled at (in front of us, mind you) at the place we moved him says a lot. As a teacher myself, I was incredibly concerned with this head teacher and her lack of growth/development understanding, yet my concerns were met with hostility and blatant disrespect, as were my husband's concerns. If your child is angelic, quiet, and not still learning how to potty train, you will be fine. Other daycare owners told us to run away quickly, so we did and all has been great ever since. Sometimes God puts you through Hell to help you find a better situation, and that's exactly how we would classify our experience with The Growing Place. Note: yes, we have solid documentation on our claims, and this is an honest and, quite frankly, tamed down account of what happened. We've been quiet about what happened publicly because we don't believe in bashing others in a public forum; however the complete reversal of behavior in one week's time and our deep understanding/training in education continues to make us concerned about others who might have had a similar experience.

Incredible preschool and daycare program. Fair prices and kind preschool teachers. I was so lucky to get my son into this amazing daycare and I cannot wait until they reopen after this COVID19 Quarantine is over!
