Both of my children attended Gingerbread Cottage Preschool and we loved everything about it. The teachers took great care of my children, always planning fun activities and events. We left Gingerbread fully prepared for the next step!
I enrolled my kid in this school last fall in 2016 for a 3 year old program. This was the first school, he was going to. When I enrolled I was unaware of who will be his teacher. On the orientation program,we found out that his teacher had no experience handling preschoolers. She was a elementary school teacher and has taught only 5th graders. But we thought the directors wouldn't have chosen badly. But soon we were proved wrong. The teacher was horrible at handling preschoolers- specially kids like mine who are bilingual. When my kid had trouble speaking in English and in writing (since he was youngest in his class, it took time to have proper crayon grasp) she suggested us seeing paediatrician that he might have some disorder. When we took to this to the directors, they were least understanding and said my kid might be having hearing problems. We knew that our kid was great the problem was with the teacher. When we went to paediatrician, she also felt the same and suggested changing school. We changed school and it did wonders to our kid within a month. He is fluent in English now, he is very happy going to school. He no longer is the shy boy who he used to be when he went to gingerbread. Parents, beware of this school. some teachers are really good but if you end up with a horrible teacher like my kid had, the directors would support the terrible teacher only and they make sure they get all the money for withdrawing from school and leave you with a terrible experience. This happened for my kid who is perfectly normal and was treated badly at school because of the teacher's lack of experience.
Both of my children went to Gingerbread Cottage. So well prepared for kindergarten academically and socially!
