La Petite Academy - Glen Allen

My son gets the best care and is learning so much. As being a first time mom I had some adjusting to do and Ms. Pam and her lovely staff made feel better about asking questions and coming by whenever I wanted. Fast forward to now I am glad I made the choice for my child to go to this school. Almost 2 years at this school.

Our 3.5-year-old son started at La Petite Academy of Glen Allen about a month ago, and he comes home every day saying his school is “amazing” and his teachers are “wonderful” - hard to beat that review from the actual customer. Pam, the director, clearly cares deeply about the kids and makes every family feel welcome from day one. The teachers we’ve worked with have all been excellent: very professional, communicative, and organized, but they still keep things fun and playful for the kids. We came from another daycare in the area and can say with confidence that La Petite is a massive upgrade. In just a few weeks, we’ve seen marked improvements in our son’s behavior and how he interacts with other kids. There is a strong emphasis on the classroom as a community, and it really shows - children seem to learn how to play well together, take turns, and be considerate classmates. The structure and expectations in the classroom feel age-appropriate but still set them up for success. I can very easily see our son being more than ready for kindergarten in a couple of years. They keep the kids busy in the best way - every day our son is learning something new, with lots of hands-on activities and exploration. The app is also fantastic; we get tons of updates and photos throughout the day so we always feel connected to what he’s doing. My only (very minor) gripe is the parking lot - it’s a bit small and can get chaotic during peak drop-off and pickup times. But honestly, that’s a small trade-off for the level of care and education our son is getting. Overall, we’re extremely happy we made the switch and highly recommend La Petite of Glen Allen to other families.

First things first: we LOVE LPA! Our son has been enrolled since he was four months old, and from his very first day in the infant room we've been met with love, kindness, compassion, and genuine care for his wellbeing. My husband and I both work full-time, so he's at LPA all day every day and I don't exaggerate when I say that the staff there is really on the front lines of his care. They're so in tune with his needs, and they're always giving us a preview of what's coming up next for him developmentally and socially. Every teacher he's had has been phenomenal, and the administration (shoutout Ms. Pam and Ms. Shameka!) are always on top of their game. What's even better is that every teacher in the building, even the ones whose classroom he hasn't entered yet, know our son's name. It really feels like a family. Regarding programming, LPA Glen Allen is always doing the funnest stuff. I'm constantly downloading pictures from their mobile app (another great perk) and sending them to our family to brag on what my kiddo is up to throughout the day. He thinks he's just playing with his friends, but you can really see his growth in mind and spirit from the engaging activities they have. It's really the best, we feel so fortunate to have found a place that we can call home for the duration of his daycare career. Truly if Ms. Pam would just open a college then we'd be set for life!

La Petit of Glenn Allen is a truly incredible daycare. My daughter has been in the infant room for 7 months and it feels like I have known them for years. They run an excellent school with great caregivers. Not only is it a safe, clean and nurturing environment, they actually do so many fun activities with the kids - even the infants. We get pictures every day and I can't believe all of the interactive and fun stuff they do. The dean / fairy godmother of the school, Ms. Pam, does a phenomenal job and makes every family feel like they are a priority. She has cultivated a very special community here. I would recommend anyone I know to send their kid to la petit!

Our kid has been at La Petite Academy in Glen Allen for almost three years and our experience has been nothing but wonderful. The teachers are always welcoming, caring, and supportive. Ms. Pam and Ms.Shamika is truly amazing, her kindness and strong leadership make a noticeable difference. We are immensely thankful to all the teachers, including Ms. Courtnee, Ms. Dianna, Ms. Mary, Ms. Saraswati and Ms. Marlene. Our daughter comes home every day with a smile on her face, which gives us complete peace of mind. We can clearly see how much she enjoys going to La Petite each day, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
