The Children'S Enrichment Center

We had heard amazing things from friends of our regarding this place and the website seems very accommodating and flexible from a standpoint of working with children and high needs, special needs, trauma backgrounds and just needing a little more love. Went in and met the owner Debbie and then shortly after she reassured us our kids would be taken care of. We sadly pulled our third kid from the daycare after she had sent me a message saying our two special needs kids couldn’t come back to after school care because the aide I was paying extra for couldn’t handle their behaviors. This was after 1 hour of them being in care and their first day. I’m extremely saddened to know this didn’t work out for our boys and I do hope in the future they are better able to accommodate special needs kiddos and understand how being trauma informed can benefit and help children to thrive! From a flexibility standpoint if you are wanting to send your kiddos here as a break because you are a SAH parent this would work otherwise it’s not feasible as we had been told we had to drop off and pick up at certain times (not business hours) and you’re not able to come in past a certain time if you had an appt in the AM.

We have two kids at the children’s enrichment center, an infant and a 3 year old toddler. We’ve loved our experiences, the staff is wonderful and supportive and my kids adore them. One even came to her birthday! Way above and beyond! So sweet! They follow a workbook curriculum to give the kids exposure to different lessons, including Spanish learning which is fantastic! They’ve addressed any issues we have quickly and efficiently and are great as team members in raising our kids! If you are in need of some caring caregivers, this is the place!

We were only there a week and so appreciate the girls who cared for our little one but when we found a place closer and tried to honor the 2 weeks in the contract, the owner Debbie did not honor it and we were left without care for our baby and had to miss work. Just wanting others to know to plan accordingly and not scramble as we were forced to.

Debbie and Danielle, and their wonderful staff have been caring for my two children for over 5 years. I feel so blessed to have found a place where the environment is like a second home for my children. The level of caring for each individual child and their particular needs is truly remarkable and a unique find in the Haslett area. The staff are kind, caring, well-trained and wholly engaged every day. One of my children is non-verbal autistic and they are the only ones I would trust caring for him. Debbie and Danielle and their staff have never hesitated to go above and beyond to assist when the need arises. If you are looking for a place where you can feel confident knowing your child will receive the best of care while they are away from you, give them a call. You'll be glad you did.

Although "center" is in the name, this is far from it. We have three kids(11, 6, 3) and all have been watched by them with two still there. They treat the kids like they are part of the family. My oldest son has been to two other centers in the Lansing and liked this one by far the most. My daughter and youngest son also have good things to talk about on the way home. A bonus is they are normally tired which tells me they took part in activities. I will say their summer program for school aged kids is great so do get into that before it gets full (weekly field trips, etc.). I like that you can only access the daycare area from the front as the sides and back are enclosed. We trusted them so much that we had one of their employees watch our house/children while my wife and I took an anniversary trip to Mexico(my kids want us to leave again) Let me know if you have questions.
