Haslett Child Development Center

We have sent our daughters here for a little over 4 years, and have been happy with the care and education our girls have received. The staff truly cares about our kids and has always been transparent with any issues or concerns. They also share the lesson and meal plans, and communicate throughout the day via a childcare app. Our older daughter started Kindergarten this fall, and although she was sad to say goodbye to her friends and teachers, she was so well prepared for the curriculum and social expectations at the elementary school.

Both our children go to daycare here, and they have thrived under the care of the staff. They truly care about all the children and have courses planned for learning. This is a community run daycare that offers great prices and improves with the feedback and collaboration of the parents. Could not recommend more!

Both of my kids go to HCDC, and I really appreciate the hands-on teachers and the family feel of the place. The directors are approachable and involved, and the center has strong roots in the community. I like that it’s a nonprofit focused on families rather than part of a corporate franchise that's driven by profitability.

Don’t bring your children here! The office people are incompetent, never answer the phone, unprofessional and unorganized. My child was ALWAYS getting sick from daycare and you are still expected to pay full price for missing those days due to their lack of cleaning. My child was also bullied and bitten by another child that broke skin and a giant bruise and I was never notified, I noticed it when giving my child a bath that night and you wanna know what their respond was? Oh yea we forgot to tell you but can you sign this incident report? It got to the point where I was checking my sons body everyday when he got home in case there was other “incidents” they allowed another student to bully my son all because their parents helped out a lot at the school. How is that okay?!There is 3 teachers there that are gods gift to earth but for the rest of them they are just as incompetent as the office/director. They are threat happy and increase rates every 3-6 months even though they feed the kids nothing but hot dogs, Mac and cheese, graham crackers, cheese, and grilled cheese as well as the parents are responsible for cleaning up the inside and outside of this place. All while you are paying 600-700 a month…. For what?!?

Love this daycare! My daughter has been there since she was 3 months and will be a year in December. You can tell the staff, including the director, love their jobs and the children. I especially appreciate how seriously they take security, not just letting anyone enter the building during the day. My daughter will attend HCDC until she starts school!
