The Childrens Center

We could not be more grateful for this preschool! Before starting here, my son wasn’t speaking, and within six months he’s talking nonstop. The teachers and staff have been amazing partners, working closely with the Hazelwood School District to make sure he receives the services he needs to thrive. They’ve truly become an extension of our family; patient, caring, and deeply invested in his growth. We tried other daycares and preschools, but this has been an absolute godsend. My son loves all of his teachers, and we love the peace of mind knowing he is not only learning but also supported and celebrated every day. I love that he always feels seen.

Daycares around this area lack the quality and professionalism to take care of your kids and this one is not an exception. The current director lack all the qualities to be a leader and should never be responsible for safeguarding children. When you have issues and bring it to her, she will become the victim, start crying and completely disregard your concerns as parents. When you escalte the issue to the so called Pastor of the church, that one lack all the qualities to digest and do the needful. All you will get from her is that she is ready to give you marital counseling instead of looking for ways to solve the issue. The easy way out is to take your children out but has that solved the issues? nope. I will not take anything away from some of the good teachers in the school that I feel deserve the leadership role more than the current confused one. Leadership is not for everyone and when you are not ready to serve others then it is not for you.

My twin sons attended The Children’s Center (TCC) for two years. We had a really positive experience there. My sons are very prepared for kindergarten. In fact, they are ahead of the expectations (counting, writing, reading, etc.) of their current school. TCC deserves the credit. TCC is not just a daycare. TCC is a preschool that focuses on learning. Everyone truly cares about the students. I am grateful for my sons attending a preschool with such kind teachers and school director. I only wish TCC went up to kindergarten! I would’ve definitely had my sons continue to attend. If you are on the fence, I wholeheartedly recommend TCC.

Parents please be aware and pay very close attention to your children if they are currently in this school. I have huge safeguarding concerns as a result of our own experience. Our son reported a very serious incident to us and we suffered retaliation as a result of reporting it. They terminated our son’s place without notice. Very poor leadership and so many failures that have gone without appropriate action.

The director lacks leadership I’m not really sure how’s she’s a leader but the teachers are the only good thing about this place I’m sorry that their Admin isn’t better
