The Cedarhouse School

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Big Blue Marble Academy at Colony Crossing. We were referred by several families in our neighborhood, and I’m so grateful we followed their recommendation. As an educator, I was very picky and toured five daycares in the area before choosing BBMA. From the very beginning, the teachers were incredibly supportive. As a first-time mom, they truly made me feel comfortable and confident leaving my child in their care. Communication is excellent, and the director genuinely goes out of her way to assist families and get to know both the children and parents. The school has a warm, small-school feel while still providing a safe, structured environment that supports each child’s growth. Even my mother, who handled drop-off and pick-up for a week, was amazed by how friendly, organized, and welcoming everyone was. The staff is always willing to work with me, and it’s clear how much they care. I highly recommend Big Blue Marble Academy!

We have been a part of the Cedarhouse family for 7 years. Our children have been incredibly loved and cared for by the Cedarhouse teachers. Truly, our whole family has been genuinely loved. Further, our children have excelled with the curricula in place at Cedarhouse, from birth through pre-k. Our children were well prepared for kindergarten, were accepted to private schools, and have excelled based upon the learning that took place at Cedarhouse. Cedarhouse is an incredible school that we highly recommend. As someone who works in education and has a PhD in education, I can honestly say that Cedarhouse is one of the best.

We could go on and on about how wonderful Cedarhouse School is and how much we love it there! Our two boys (2 years and 6 months) both attend part-time. Enrolling them is one of the best decisions we have made as parents. The teachers and staff are so caring and all know our boys by name (even when they aren't their primary teachers). Our older son's teachers have potty trained him and taught him so much (saying his full name, listening skills) as well as reinforced things we work on at home (manners). His class offers a well balanced curriculum of play and education - meaning our 2 year old is not having a full day of free play. Our younger son's teachers worked with him on taking a bottle (never took one prior to his first day) and sitting-up. At drop-off he gets the biggest smile on his face when we hand him off to his teachers :) The level of safety and education is truly unmatched.
