What a wonderful caring daycare ! Our family moved from Jersey and started our search for a daycare of our 2 year old. Once we met Dawn & her staff, they gave us such comfort with knowing our boy was in the right place. Reagan, Sami, Ayana, & Ms. Lady are absolutely amazing there! Thank you for all you have done for my boy!
The Butterfly Garden is a wonderful childcare center! Dawn and her team have created a safe, nurturing, child-led environment. Dawn’s passion for serving children and families is infectious and the teachers enjoy what they do. The classrooms are clean and the outdoor space is expansive and has tons of age-appropriate materials to play with. The children are well-cared and you’ll be treated like family at this center.
We have loved sending our daughter to the Butterfly Garden! She has been loved and taken care of and given every opportunity to explore and learn. Everything we could ask for in a daycare
HORRIBLE CHILDCARE CENTER !!! DO. NOT. ATTEND. HERE!!!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. I would never in a million years trust my child to go here again!!!! Firstly, I set up a tour with the director 2 weeks ago to view the school (Valuable to note, THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! I had to go to the school twice and the teachers didn’t even know the correct email address or a good way to contact the director). Anywho, went to the school to tour, everything seemed “okay”. Playground was nice, there is just one small room for the kids to play in, and then another room in the back that is FILLED to the ceiling with junk. I mean honestly I thought a hoarder lived there initially. But of course they quickly closed the curtain once they realized it was left open. Even after all that, I decided to trust Dawn and her teachers because I was in a bit of a pinch with childcare being that I started work soon. Skip to my first day of work, I went to drop off my daughter for school in the morning, scheduled an extra 1.5 hours before work to make sure all forms were filled out and make sure my child was comfortable. WITHIN 1 HOUR I received an email stating “come get your child now” no explanation, no NOTHING! She called over 15 times and within 30 minutes she threatened to call CPS and also called ALL of my family members, even from different states! After I was able to leave work, on my very first day only being there for an hour, I got to the school to try and see what the problem was. And you know what she said?? My child has too many needs!!!! The only “need” my child has is being allergic to eggs. WHICH WAS EXPLAINED DURING THE TOUR, DURING THE DROP OFF, AND THROUGH PHONE CONVERSATIONS!!! But within 1 hour of drop off, all of a sudden my child has too many needs?!? I mean I pretty much loss my new job because of the unprofessionalism here! DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!! The director is very quick to become ill, she had my child laying on the floor in the entry and wouldn’t even let her play with the other kids. This daycare is HORRIBLE in my opinion! Very unstable. VERY unprofessional. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! EDIT TO ADD: even the response is VERY unprofessional! And inaccurate. As stated before, this is my opinion and the if you choose for your precious children to go here, at least you’ve been warned! I wouldn’t even drive on the same road I’m so disgusted.
This is a magical place! The owners, Dawn and Brian Stoeckel, and their mother, Nana, do an amazing job running this family business. Nana treats all the staff and kids as family and has a demeanor that is always upbeat and friendly. Her lunches are amazing, as she always cooks enough for the staff. Sometimes she’ll cook special meals just for the adults. Dawn is an open minded, understanding Christian woman who puts her whole heart into The Butterfly Garden. Her love of nature and experience as a teacher shows when interacting with the children and staff. Her husband, Brian, is always improving the school with his amazing carpentry skills. It’s very apparent they want the little school to reach its full potential and be an incredible place for all children, parents and staff. Unfortunately, my 45 minute commute got the best of me after two years.
