Smart Kids Child Development Center #8

I have loved the Meck Pre-K program and my daughter’s teachers this year. My concerns however were the auxiliary staff/wraparound care. I’ve addressed the older woman whose class my daughter is in after school on several occasions. Her demeanor is rude and not becoming of someone that should be in the care of children. She seems bothered and tired at every interaction. She’s “improved” after concerns were brought to the previous School Director. I was very shocked and offended when I realized my daughter was sent back to that classroom after the change in Directors. I am waiting for these next weeks to end and hoping I can work out my schedule so that my child does not have to spend as much time in that classroom after school. Having my child picked up early has eliminated the frequent late nights, since she’s no longer being forced to take two naps during the school day.

I am so happy that I chose this location for my daughter for Pre-K. Ms. Alexander is an exceptional site director and always pleasant and willing to communicate when issues arise at the site as well as just acknowledging your presence as a parent. I absolutely love Ms. Maria and Ms. Tina as teachers. The lines of communication is always open and they really love what they do. My daughter will never forget them teaching her cool learning songs to go along with the curriculum and interesting projects throughout the year . She will have confidence in her abilities going into Kindergarten and that's all a parent can ask for. Thanks sooooo much and I will definitely miss you all!!!!!

The Director, Courtney Alexander, Is extremely rude. My son currently attends at this location 2023'. His teachers Ms. Wise and Ms. Forney are immaculate concerning interaction with the children at the facility, patience, and educating our little ones. Although , when it comes to Courtney Alexander, is where I have to begin to have some concerns. She speaks over adults when spoken to whether it is to address a concern or simply relaying messages in a manner that is not offensive or comes off as a bullying tactic. My current concern is insuring that she is not alone with my child conveying those bullying tactics onto children. This is not my first incident where Courtney has been blatantly rude. I have emailed who she told me was her superior and have yet to receive a reply. It seems as if her rudeness is condoned.
