What Parents Say
Teddy Bear Learning Center receives mostly positive reviews praising caring staff, educational activities, and strong parent communication, though two negative reviews raise serious concerns about supervision, staff qualifications, safety incidents, and unresolved behavioral issues in certain classrooms.
My daughter has been going to this daycare for about 6 months and I have no complaints. My one year old daughter loves it there and she looks forward to going everyday. She opens her arms to her teachers to be picked up and i can tell they care. Her diaper is always changed upon pick up and they always keep us updated. We have bad terrible experiences in the past with daycares and I am grateful that this has been a smooth experience so far.
My son has been going to Teddy Bear Learning Center for over 2 years and he has learned so much! On the weekends he is constantly asking to go see his teachers and all of his friends. The amount of growth I have seen in the center the past two years is substantial. I don’t only consider it his daycare, but his family as well because I know if there is anything I need help with his teachers and the directors will do everything in their power to help out. My son is only 3 and he knows all the colors, shapes, the alphabet, can count to 30, and much more!! I love the app they use to update pictures and post what my son is doing throughout the day. He has also taken trips to the nursing home next door for grandparents day and trick or treating. They’re numerous family events throughout the year that the facility hosts to ensure families are able to build a connection with other families! I highly recommend taking your kiddo(s) to Teddy Bear.
Teddy Bear Daycare has been such a blessing to my family. The quality of care and concern demonstrated by the teachers here is exceptional. When our infant son had a new/worsening rash or had any change in his normal behaviors, we were notified immediately and were able to communicate with his caregivers in real-time. The teachers were so accommodating of special requests (such as tummy time after meals), and shared lots of photos of his daily adventures. As one of the first children to arrive for the day, we were so appreciative of the one-on-one time and attention he received from Ms. Misty in the mornings. From a technology standpoint, their app (Playground) is extremely user-friendly, logs diaper changes and meals (which is especially helpful for someone who tries to align pumping sessions at work with feedings), and is very easy to use for the check-in/check-out process. When we moved facilities to pursue a faith-based program, both our family and the teachers were genuinely sad to see our son go. His teacher, Ms. Kiley, went above and beyond by creating a sweet hand-off card for his next teacher outlining helpful tips relating to feeds, naptime, playtime, and likes/dislikes to help ease the transition at his new daycare. Teddy Bear holds such a special place in our heart and was an outstanding place for our son to learn, play, and thrive!
My wife and I have gone through 4 different daycares with our children and this is by far the best one. I love the fact that our daughter looks forward to going everyday. The staff is very friendly and provide plenty of updates throughout the day. Overall my family has had a great experience definitely recommend
Chaotic is the best way to describe this daycare center. While there is some friendly staff, the inept "teachers" overshadow the little good there is. I don't know how these rooms are considered classrooms when there is absolutely no learning going on. I mean they are really trying to make this place sound like something that it isn't. Every single day there is something wrong. The unfit 16 year old "teacher" in the big kids classroom has absolutely no control over the children. At pick up, I have witnessed the kids running in and out of the classroom with no adult supervision while she sits and braid a kids' hair. The kids can be violent towards other children with no productive or serious disciplinarian actions taken. My 7 year old has only been going to this daycare for about a month and has been bitten, hit, and pushed down. He is on the autism spectrum, so yes it looks like bullying. I do give the benefit of the doubt because boys will be boys, but it continues to happen. The kids run over her because they see her as a peer and not a superior and doesnt respect her. Everyday there is an issue in this classroom and I'm over it.... While the center director is nice, she does smell like a carton of cigarettes every single day and interacts with the children regularly. Smelling cigarette smoke on a person can be harmful, especially to children. My experience with the infant classroom was not the best as well. There was one "teacher" who didn't like changing the babies diapers to the point that when I picked my babies up, their diapers were always soiled. Once I spoke up about that issue, I never had that problem again. Also, my babies have an OT and ST that comes to that center and offer services. The OT has expressed conerns of the staff being neglectful. When she had arrived to my son's appointment, he had been carrying food in his mouth for over a hour. She told me that she expressed to them that that is called pocketing and could be a choke hazard that they should check his mouth after every feeding to reduce the risk of choking. The following week she goes to his appointment and told me she saw the same thing again. So at this point, I don't think they care. I do have text messages so if anyone responds saying that's not true, I'll edit my review with screenshots. Overall, I highly do not recommend this daycare. There are way too many better options in Hamilton County. I've also noticed that the 5 star reviews within the last year are all from staff members. Go figure. Today was my kids last day.
