I see why this location has such low ratings, YEESH lol. Rude operator kept hanging up on me until it was time for them to close JUST NOW FEBRUARY 10, 2026 IT NOW 1704. Her/his voice sounded annoying and I wanted to hang up, but the trash hung itself up after I said, "Have a good one" and sarcastically telling that person on operator duty, "Thank you for all of your help". I could have been nasty but I am a bubbly person that they thought they could taunt lol. Plus I came to this SAME LOCATION back in 2022 and instead of helping me get into the school those people gave me a fudging TOUR I did not want to see that crap I came for educational purposes VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, I went to the Chesapeake location for the first time today 2/10/26 and it was CLEAN(ER), GORGEOUS SCENERY, BEAUTIFULLY BUILT, AND NO GHETTO!! A BAG OF FRESH AIR AND as soon as I get in the door I ACTUALLY GOTTEN HELP years later now I have more confidence to change my life and career paths! Don't go HERE, go at your own risk if you've no choice. Just remember it isn't a bad thing to travel a little far or even further to get what you want especially better services.

No Wi-Fi available to the public (in the publicly accessible library) without an existing staff or student login & password. So much for the "community" in community college.

This is an area that Virginia excels with, their community College program, and the TCC campus in Portsmouth is in a great lication with clean and well maintained facilities and an amazing staff. If you're unsure about what to do or want to expand your skills look at this program.

If it is your desire to be a Winner, come to this school!! Great staff, teachers and plenty support!! All you need in one place Tidewater Community College “Portsmouth Campus”!!

Cannot get in contact with them. I was about to enroll but I am glad I decided to go elsewhere. Took days for a reply to my emails to the advisor and numerous follow ups. Dismissed and told to come back when I visited in person due to “system outages” Over a dozen calls to different departments with no answer. One lady believe her name was Tia or Tina even hung up on me twice upon introduction and asking a question. VPCC has had much better communication and service. If any other College or campus at TCC has your program I would recommend them the Portsmouth Campus is absolutely atrocious in how they treat their potential students. Only 2 stars because once I finally got in front of an Advisor (Miller) he was very helpful. Good luck getting in contact with anyone here!
