What Parents Say
Super Kids Day Care Center receives mixed reviews with most parents praising the structured environment, caring staff, and child development outcomes over multi-year enrollments. However, several recent reviews raise serious concerns about staff professionalism, communication with management, specific employee conduct, and operational issues.
My child has been going to this daycare for over 3 years. He has flourished & was so well prepared when he began kindergarten. All the staff are very respectful & whenever I have concerns, which is rare, the situation is handled immediately. I've read another review which specifically targets Trevor & seems to be personal. We have not had any such issues or concerns with Trevor & he is one of my child's favorite people at Super-Kids.
Single father 4 that go to day care hear. Major issue the guy that works there that drives the buss has put his hands on my son. And not only that but they took over 2,000 cash from me right before Christmas. Ever since the owners retired this place has gone to trash. Watch out with Trevor if you have any issue with your kids and him reach out to me.
I took both of my boys there for several years. My first was a preemie. Due to complications I wasn't able to take off more work to stay home with my son. Dropping him off (weighing not even 5lbs) was extremely hard, but the teachers there gave him so much love! He went through the preschool program and learned not only colors and odd shapes but how to interact with other kids properly. It was very structured and I was super grateful. 7 years later when it was time for my next son to go to daycare it was obvious where he'd be going. Even though it was a little out of the way now it was worth the extra travel for him to go to a great, structured, and secure learning environment. He was even learning some basic sign language. I continue to recommend them even though my kids are too old to go there anymore :) If Pat is still the owner you are in good hands!
They work with everyone. Downside, my son comes home with damn bite marks almost every day. I get that baby's teeth and bite, but there has to be some way to stop this. If not, we will be forced to take action ourselves. We mentioned it on more then one occasion, but I truly believe the employees in the little house DO NOT communicate with the OWNERS in anyway. Quite frustrating being told one thing and it never being done. Like I said, something needs done though. Other then that big issue at hand, they truly are good
Super Kids seems to employ some unprofessional employees. I'm thinking they hold little to no childcare credentials, there have been numerous instances that lead me to believe this. For example, Laura, who seems to be in charge of serving breakfast, in t he older kids building constantly displays a negative, unfriendly attitude. An attitude that reflects personal judgements an self hatred; just a person who rarely smiles. She clearly likes to hide away from the kids in the kitchen and have as least interaction as possible bc it seems kids are not a passion of hers at all. I'm a firm believer that we need people who are passionate about interacting and caring enough to develop children of all ages in charge of our precious ones in our school. A person with teaching or children education at all would have understood that feeding a 4 year old breakfast is a IMPERATIVE part of his day. The center likes to uphold a strict 8:30 breakfast cut off rule. When I arrived with my 4 & 6 year old this morning at 8:30 am she sits there and refuses to serve either of them breakfast, even though there are others still eating. It's a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch btw, pure sugar they love to feed the kids, which I actually don't even feed my kids myself. Most importantly she approached the situation all wrong, Not being kind, not offering a one time pass, not offering any solutions to the problem once so ever. Instead, having an attitude and being short. Even when I've had my own breakfast on hand before she wants to act like it's still an inconvience for them to be eating there at all after 8:30, so dramatic. Ultimately, had I needed to be to work at 9 am, they would have let my kids go hungry until maybe 11 or 12. Ridiculous. Frankly, bc this seems to be a problem with myself and maybe others, I don't see why there isn't a small table or area set up for the 8:30-9 am kids to have a small snack or what not. My kids have been in two other, great preschools before and never once was the staff as uncomidating as Laura is in particular. There was also another outstanding problem in the summer time as well. I'm a single mother of limited finances. In the summer my son had 3 pairs, 2 of which were brand new destroyed there. Not bc boys were being boys, or playing rough, but bc of their "bike circle". The bike circle is part of the misleading curb appeal this preschool displays. Looks fun from the outside, but, bc of th elayout of the designated bike play area, it's nearly impossible for the kids to come to a stop wo having to flip their feet down and tear HUGE holes in the front of their sneakers. In my sons case, there were sneakers, boots, and another brand new pair of shoes, a relative had bought him. I spoke to one of the outside teachers after the first incident and made clear this is not ok and should not ever happen again, what if it were my child's only pair of shoes he owned at all?!? lucky for me, this was not the only pair. I reported to another teacher, after another incident. I'm sorry, I would know names better, but the staff doesn't wear name tags at all, again unprofessional. This same incident happened to numerous kids bc I know some personally and overheard others complain of the same thing. They ruin shoes on a regular basis. Firstly, I'm not sure why I was not ever advised of this situation from day one. The school knew the kids would ruin the shoes from the day I signed up, they stayed quiet. After my sons shoes got ruined, they then asked me to bring in an extra pair to stay there. I would have brought an extra pair from day one, had I known. The two other people I know that have kids there had different issues all their own. Good luck with your experience.
