What Parents Say
Sunrise Preschool #129 in Goodyear receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from long-term parents who praise the caring staff, strong communication, and welcoming environment. Parents consistently highlight director Tanya and specific teachers for going above and beyond in child care and family support. One parent reported concerns about a different Sunrise location regarding communication, chart review, and safety procedures.
My daughter has been going here since she's been one, almost 2 years now. We were hesitant at first but she has really expanded in her social skills, I do wish the school did a little more curriculum with the kids and updating in the app, but I understand that they are doing the best they can, when they don't have the best corporate support and high turn over of teachers with pay issues. They have fun activities outside of school hours too to get parents involved which I love!! During the hotter days they do water days for the kids too!!
My kids have been at Sunrise for 3 years, and we truly love it. The staff goes above and beyond to support families. I was recently out of the country for 2 weeks, and they kept me updated daily and even helped my kids dad with reminders, things moms usually handle. Their care, communication, and love for the kids are unmatched. Tanya the director has built an amazing team, and we’re so thankful!!
**Update** Thank you to everyone that welcomed me with my son and making me feel welcomed on mommas first week of drop-off. I really liked the self kiosk, it made it easy to sign in and out, the app itself is superb and easy to use. The ladies in the room were very nice aa well. Thank you Maya and Tanya for helping me out. Highly recommend, I was able to relax my mind while my son is at daycare while I work. **Update** I am extremely displeased with the service I received over the phone from Sunrise Preschool at the Dysart location. As a parent, I expect communication, professionalism, and most importantly, a safe and supportive environment for my child. Unfortunately, this location has consistently failed in those areas. They do not review or reference the child's chart, which is a serious concern regarding the individual care and attention each child should receive. I also do not feel welcomed or involved in my child's education or daily activities—something that is vital in a preschool setting. Their mobile applications are not updated, making it difficult to stay informed, and worst of all, they do not properly notify parents about who signs their child in. This is not only unprofessional but also a major safety concern. I cannot in good conscience recommend this preschool to other parents. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
My daughter went here for almost 5 months. She's 4 and I had to take her out due to the teacher. She LOVES preschool. Gets so excited EVERY DAY! But one time she started freaking out about going and telling me how one of her teachers hits her and other kids. I relayed this to maya(spelling? She's amazing by the way), who said she'd speak to the teacher and magically never had an issue with my daughter going again. Fast forward to her moving up to her new class. The older 4/5 class. She was MORTIFIED. She would scream and literally shake going in. She told me the teacher was so mean, she would throw out her art, she would scream all the time, forces her to eat all the food even if she hates it, the list goes on. My daughter has NEVER reacted to another person like this, only when dealing with the other incident. I don't care how strict someone is, someone like that shouldn't be teaching in a preschool class. It's teachers like this who discourage kids against school and set that stone for their entire educational lives. I refused to send her there anymore and am moving her to another school after relaying my concerns multiple times. I'm sorry but a child doesn't react to another person like that unless more is going on, that's psychology 101. This woman should NOT be working in a school setting and allowing her to do So is setting these poor kids up for a lifelong hate for school with the belief that they have to fear the adults involved with their learning.
My children have been going to this preschool for over five years and I have not one bad thing to say. I truly love the staff. Whenever there is an issue I am informed either via report or a phone call. I can honestly say that when I drop off my babies I know they are in good hands. This preschool has definitely been a home away from home. Thank you guys for everything you do, not only for my babies but for everyone. I truly appreciate you all 😊❤️
