L.E.S.D.#25 - Las Brisas Academy

I want to start by clearly stating that I have never attended Las Brisas Academy – Elementary School. However, I recently came across information and videos online about a former teacher named Britney Zamora, who was arrested and convicted for engaging in an inappropriate and criminal relationship with a student. What I learned was deeply disturbing. As someone who values education and student safety, it’s heartbreaking to see how a trusted educator could manipulate and harm a young person in such a serious way. Situations like this are not just violations of professional ethics — they are serious crimes that can leave lifelong trauma for victims. This case serves as a strong reminder of how important it is for schools to maintain strict safeguards, background checks, and monitoring to ensure the protection of every student. Children and families place great trust in educators, and that trust must always be respected and upheld. While I recognize that this individual no longer represents the school, I hope Las Brisas Academy and other institutions use this as a lesson to strengthen their commitment to safety, transparency, and accountability. Educators must serve as role models — not sources of harm — and schools must continue to create safe environments where students can learn and grow without fear. No child should ever have to experience what that student endured. I stand firmly against all forms of abuse and exploitation, and I encourage ongoing awareness and prevention measures in every school community. #StopSexualAbuse #ProtectOurStudents

This is not the best first ALOT of students do really bad stuff and the school and the teachers don't do any thing about it and also some teachers don't even teaches us.

this school sucks I am a student that hasn't help I actually might get held back my grades went down from a to b and c. the teachers do not do anything for us besides put us on computers and be on there phones.the school does not protect me and along with my fellow studants because a kid kept herting multiple people and kids and did not expel him.so over all this school is bad and do not send your kid hear.also they let to kids escape the school

This school did not keep my son safe he is autistic and the principal would not give him extra supervision while his IEP was issued. Therefore he was able to run out of the classroom and onto the parking lot. There are no fences at this school and no one is monitoring the hallways or the exterior of the school.

This school is not able to properly provide safety for their students, nor can they accommodate special needs students. Students are able to run out of the school campus into the parking without supervision for more than 10 minutes. If this can happen to one child it can happen to any. Special needs children deserve an education.
