What Parents Say
The reviews appear to be mismatched with the daycare listing. Most reviews reference Suncoast Technical College/Career Center programs, not a preschool. The few relevant comments praise staff helpfulness and clean facilities.
I strongly advise prospective adult students to consider alternatives to this school. My experience has been marred by significant issues, ranging from administrative inefficiencies to inadequate instruction. The front office, financial aid, and bookkeeping departments all demonstrated a level of disorganization and unprofessionalism that was frankly shocking. Specifically, I encountered problems with my Pell grant disbursement. After months of waiting and repeated inquiries, I received only $133 of the $1700 I was told to expect. Furthermore, the plumbing program's instructors were deeply disappointing. One instructor, John Frey, was disengaged and reportedly misappropriated student supplies. Another instructor, Mr. Pat, seemed unqualified and provided little to no educational value, making the time spent in his class feel like a complete waste. Additionally, despite assurances that instructors in the industrial sector would assist with internship placements, I was left to secure my own internship. Overall, my experience at this school has been extremely frustrating, and I feel it's important to share these issues with others who may be considering enrolling.
Jannette was very helpful and I have only the best to say to her. But the website is not optimized for mobile, and it’s clunky overall. The application process is not as complex as it is convoluted. I attribute this to the state of Florida and not STC though. The residency verification was also needlessly difficult since I just renewed my license and don’t have any bills in my name. Enrolling in higher education shouldn’t be a clerical obstacle course. If you want more people to pursue and further their education, then make the process more streamlined. And another thing, having just one schedule for certain programs like surg tech makes it incredibly difficult too. I have to quit my job, that I love, bc you only have one schedule. Not everyone has that luxury like I do. That’s a real and tangible disadvantage to more people than you realize.

They had my last review deleted. This school is a complete joke, the financial aid office is incredibly disorganized, they claim scholarships are given out on a “first come first serve basis” yet people that qualified for one and applied 3 months before another person who was awarded the scholarship, did not receive one, and the financial aid office said they “ran out of money”. The staff are also incredibly rude and petty towards students (during our orientation a girl brought her mother to help her remember information, and one of the people showing the program introduction PowerPoint made a big show of it and said “wow I’ve never in my life seen anything like this before”) they also do not listen to any student concerns, for the surg tech program the February instructor acts like a teenager and will join in on making petty comments about students just because her favorite group does not like them. Very unprofessional and uncaring school.
Bistro 502 Definitely unique. This is a special place. Its a Bistro located in a technical school run by students and supervised by a professional chef. You can sit at a counter looking directly into the kitchen. All I can say is wow. They should be so proud.Food quality good and all made to order.Student servers grow on you .They are attentive learning to be professional with the right mix of friendliness.Could be a bit more relaxed.Presentation good.Could use a bit more garnish.Decor modern and comfortable.Parking convenient and plentiful.Menu limited.Hours limited.Open only 3 days a week.Pricing inexpensive. Now the best part.Only a contribution to a scholarship fund suggested in place of a tip. What a great idea. I will be back Awarded 2 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3 .
