I am not a current member of this church but I want to share an experience I had with Trinidad Baptist Church. I am a new mom. I gave birth to a baby boy on 08/08/2024. I went on maternity leave but it was unpaid. I had fallen into a very hard financial difficulty and was looking for assistance from different churches and local organizations that would be able to help. One of the places I reached out to was this church. I informed them of my situation of me falling behind in rent because I didn't have the money to pay. Shirley Williams who works in the office there was a tremendous help in getting me started in the process of getting assistance from their church. Not too long after I received a call from Deacon Taylor. He was so incredibly kind and helpful. He heard my story and was happy to figure out a plan to get me the help I needed. This church donated one month's rent to make sure a mom and her infant son wouldn't lose their home and I am beyond grateful! I am back to work full time and I was able to get the rest of my bills caught up and that was only due to their generous donation! I am not currently a member of this church but I live in the community and they took the time to help me when I was so in need. The generosity received from this church to someone who isn't even a member really demonstrates that they really care about and give back to the community around them. That is very much a testament that they truly follow the word of God! I haven't had a chance to attend a service yet but I will soon! I have told my family and friends about how much they helped me, a complete stranger with no expectation of anything in return and based on that I am sure I will not be attending a future service alone. I will have more people coming with me because this is the type of church home myself as well as the people in my life have been searching for. A place where good community service is happening as well as worship. Thank you so much again to Shirley Williams and Deacon Taylor for all your help and I look forward to meeting you both in person soon at a service.

A church with a long- established history in the community of Trinidad in Washington DC. Gentrification forced a move to Maryland. A church that adapts to the present times without compromising the unchanged Word of God. Contemporary leadership guided by faithful elders who embraced that "God is doing a New Thing. " visit them and find out why God created you.

The service is always great the preacher gives us a great message and the staff is very nice people should go visit the church and enjoy their service God will bless you Amen
