The facility is very good. But we drove 3 hours to have the doctor be rude and treat us like we weren't even there! Have had other doctors there and they were great. This was just a terrible visit. It's like she made a decision before talking to us and then when answering her questions, got snippy and condescending. Dr. Sheets is a doctor I will not be seeing ever again, even if it was my only option.
Was waiting to be transferred to another hospital for treatment of depression. Had essentia health security guard advise me to 'go f*** myself' as a parting word. Spoke with patient relations and the response was best they could do. Same security guard as year before, who referred to me as an 'a**wipe' in front of a nurse, who pretended to not hear that. Will definitely be sure to get his name if there is a next time. He's in his mid 20's, 5'10, 30 to 40 pounds overweight, glasses, short facial hair, and bad attitude. It probably feels powerful and safe in that locked little bubble of security, but we most likely live in same city. Really dumb. Has 'I tried to be police officer, but psychological testing and verbal interviews gave me a disqualified' all over him.
This place has helped my family and myself at some point but when you walk in to your wife's room and we have to ask for a key to get to her belongings, when the door was unlocked earlier makes me wonder why. Because she has a white roommate. The staff is very rude
Just habing a horrible time. Had my new born yesterday. Currently sitting in pediatrics. Staff were not doing what needed to be done. Skipping vital checks and not logging in feedings ect. Ignoring concerns. Had one nurse so far that was fairly great.
Was in the ER and was examined only by a nurse, the doctor never even entered the room, the nurse also only looked at my X-ray and didn’t even look at my injury. I also waited 3 hours in the waiting room to be told nothing was wrong, even though I am still having a lot of issues and can barely walk from the injury. Very disappointed, will be going to St. Luke’s from now on.
