What Parents Say
Spring Glen Academy has received highly polarized reviews with significant safety and management concerns. Multiple parents reported their children experiencing physical aggression from other children, injuries without clear explanations, and inadequate staff response to incidents. A few positive reviews praised specific teachers and the facility, though credibility of some positive reviews is questionable.
This message is in response to Zoey’s review. Hi Kara! I wondered since your children are still in attendance several months later, if you might want to update your review. I apologize that you feel targeted by our management team, but there’s certain behaviors we just cannot allow in our building. With that being said, I am so happy that you kept the kids with us. We enjoyed both of them very very much. Thank you for continuing to use our services.
My child did not feel safe here. She cried everyday because the kids there were mean and hitting her. I repeatedly went to staff about it until it was taken care of. One of the staff Erica tried to tell my my kid was lying, but the staff that are usually in her class told me about the incidents were she was slapped and dragged by kids in her class. My kid was 4 years old. I don't recommend bringing your child here. Ms D and Ms Keisha are amazing and my daughter loves them.
I wouldn’t advise you to send ur kid here!!! Zena in the toddler room grabbed my sons face on two occasions and when his father and I asked to see the surveillance footage she immediately kicked my son out. She tried to blame it on bad behavior but not once had there been an incident report filled out. The director is extremely incompetent and lies. When it comes to the welfare of your children you definitely don’t wan t to entrust this woman with that. When I called CPS they informed me they’ve had several complaints about abuse. There are also 3 pending police reports (including mine) and a lawsuit in the near future. Good luck parents. Don’t even waste ur time with this one!
I am a person to tell you how I feel to your face rather than blast you in public. But when people throw around their privilege and authority, something must be said. My son only came to this daycare because his previous one closed and this one was very close to my house. I should have known from the begenning the director Mariah was unequipped, unprofessional and a basket case. During the tour she constantly apologized about how filthy the facility was and how her staff are not educated well and she’s working on major improvements! I should have also took heed to the many complaints online, they are accurate!! In the 2 months my son was there he was constantly telling me people were hitting him in the face. He once wet himself because a teacher didn’t pull him in from the playground to potty and they did change his clothes but never wiped him off he reeked of urine when I picked him up. I was told by Mariah if I don’t bring wipes they don’t do anything, I was never told to bring wipes. Then and there I had an issue, get a towel, use wipes you have, etc..leaving a child in urine is unsanitary. I had to replace his jacket because they left it outside for two days in the rain and kept telling me they had no idea where it could have gone. Three weeks in a row they have misplace my sons sheets and blanket in numerous kids cubby’s. I had three different teachers apologize that this keeps happening and I explained his name is written huge on his things, you can’t miss it! One week they lost it and told me it was washed with their things. My son is allergic to almost all detergents and broke out in rashes. The next week they lost the sheet I had to replace it. The third week they lost the new one and I replaced it. I tried contacting Mariah for 2 weeks she would run out, say she wasn’t available, etc..I finally call her and she was THE most unprofessional girl I have ever met. I asked for the owner info she said she doesn’t have to give me anything she doesn’t feel like giving. I called DSHS and DEL they said her behavior is unprofessional and contacted the licensure. She didn’t like that and called me on speaker phone with the teacher that actually lost my sons blanket and told me she is disenrolling my child, because she can and had many gross words in conversations that she spews out. Eh, no biggie. But you should find some where else to find for your child to attend. You do not want an uneducated, unprofessional, unacceptable language, ghetto, ill communative person that has no customer service skills, and lacks empathy to care for your child. I mean, it has nothing to do with me, I don’t even care about his belongings...it’s her character. Completely inadequate. I will say there is one teacher there, she’s Asian I believe...super kind, on top of things, aware..she’s great!!
Do not bring your children here. They will not be taken care of. My daughter has a black eye and nobody can tell me what happened. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
