The people that help with fuel are great, have no complaints there. I allowed weatherization into my home thinking I was helping improve my home, sad to say I was wrong. Im assuming they hired the lowest bidder for an insulation job, insulation r us cracked my liner, Ive had roof leaks, and everywhere the company installed a ridge line vent, water has come in and Im left with brown stains that return and expand. Im under an obligation per my divorce agreement to maintain value of the home and now i could be faced with losing it. Ive left messages with Russ, Amanda since november of 2024 and its now January and not one phone call back to resolve. We have an air purifier going in one room, every time it rains i feel absolutely helpless watching stains get bigger, 2 small children and disabled, its the most disheartening thing to have to even write any of this, after multiple voicemails and zero return calls, here I am writing in hope someone will help. please. Update: after making this post, sscac reached out, one of the men who work there visited, said he'd be fixing the patches possibly getting someone to assess for mold. I've heard nothing since. It is now August of 2025 with the same spots that look worse and zero accountability or help.

Went into the office and dealt with Nancy. She was so amazingly nice. I was in and out in a snap. Got a call from Sharon. I was missing some paperwork. I ended up talking to her for about 5 minutes on something we both shared interest in. I see the comments about them losing stuff and I think that when you go in like a human being and treating people like you would like to be treated like human beings, they're amazing. And as far as if they do lose things, they're very busy. They deal with so many people not just you. So if something gets lost is it really a big deal to have to fax it or bring it back? I don't think so. We are getting free money to help us with our utilities. Thank you girls. Have a great day! Oh, and the man who works in the front of was so helpful.

IF IF IF it wasn't for Nancy one of the supervisors being so helpful & kind, I would not give this a 5 star. Nancy made my Dad and I feel like someone actually cared & didn't give the run around, which was so refreshing. There is a good reason why I stopped calling and eventually had to drive there. Let's leave it at that...I'll be nice here. Nancy made the experience much better & resolved. Much appreciated. UODATED DECEMBER 7TH 2024******* Iam sharing an email I wrote to the company. "To whom this may concern, greetings! My name is Natalie and I just want to reach out to say thank you so very much for sending a wonderful intelligent man named Jason out to help get the ball rolling! He has been helping us every step of the way! I also like to thank the crew who insulated my home. My home is much warmer with zero drafts. I appreciate the crew arriving first thing in the morning for three days in a row. They were respectful and did an excellent job. I would also like to thank one of the supervisor's (once again) named Nancy, for being so down to Earth & kind to my Dad and I several months ago when we first walked in. Nancy helped solve a couple minor issues in an excellent true manager manner. This blessing has really helped me financially and I have much more hope and peace of mind for my future all because of South Shore Community Council. Thank you so much for making me hopeful and happy. Have a wonderful Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sincerely, Natalie

Literally the worst person I've ever spoken to. I asked her not to interrupt me, which is I think reasonable when I've been trying to reach someone for over two weeks. Also I'm panicking because my bill is just adding up as the MONTHS go by. I then suggested maybe they hire more people after being told only one person answers the phones, and she was nothing but confrontational after that. I have never spoken to any person who has been that unprofessional. I was explaining that National Grid called me on Saturday to threaten shut off if I don't make a payment and she told me I was lying and that they don't call on Saturday. She wouldn't stop focusing on it and kept asking if I wanted to speak to a supervisor, and eventually was transferred to, you guessed it, a voicemail to someone who will never call me back. This system needs to be updated. People shouldn't suffer because of horrible customer service representatives who can't handle people panicking about their bills. I have a baby and just need help.

Great place to get help for heating or other issues, try to apply earlier and you can always go in person. Had great people to speak with and the best possible help for submitting all the documents. Better to gather the documents and apply right away, and do your checklist. Easy process and could save a lot from foreclosure.
