South Aiken Baptist Day Care

I would NOT recommend the daycare program/early learning center at South Aiken Baptist. I recently switched my children from SAB daycare program to another local daycare facility. My children attended SAB program between 2022-2024, where i observed a lack of organization, lack of structure, ineffective leadership, sudden and unexpected daycare closures with minimal advanced notice to parents, lack of support from the school board, constant staff turnover, struggle maintaining daycare teacher:student ratios, etc. Within our two year stay, many attempts were made to change daycare policies, leadership, train new staff and revamp the program for improvement, however each time fell short. They leave alot to be desired on their daycare/early learning center portion. A concerning amount of daycare employee turnover has occurred between 2020-2024. I hope one day SAB daycare program will succeed but CURRENTLY, i would deem them as an unstable daycare program to enroll my children. August 2024.

Unsafe for your kids to be here. Ratio issues, staff not paying attention, Closing from illness often, or not having staff. Had completly gone down hill the past 6 months. Staff turnover is unbelievable, communication is awful. You can tell they don't clean well. Unsafe environment for babies and toddlers. They charge you a supply fee and you rarely get any art work or anything to show for it. They claim they do things with the kids but ours fell so behind development wise. I do not reccomend.

The Daycare center for this facility is very low maintenance. The entrance to the door is not properly working you can get hurt from having to snatch on the door to open it. They are short staffed. They consistently change teachers. It's so unorganized. Today as I dropped my two year old off she had to use the restroom as I entered the restroom there I noticed too many errors. There was nothing to wipe the seat down with or even cover it up with, No hand soap or paper towels to wash or dry the hands. This got my attention because it was first thing in the morning right at 6:50am This childcare facility should be cleaned every night and prepared for early morning. The stomach virus and diarrhea has been going around throughout that facility. We receive closures and sick emails from them every week. I sent out an email to the director who then called me personally. We talked it over she gave me her input of the million reasons why the bathroom wasn't up to par and I gave her my response of having concerns for our babies health in a professional manner. Then later when I went to pick my baby back up that afternoon she told me my baby was terminated. I then asked her to provide me a proper reason for her termination she couldn't give me a proper reason to why. I then asked for a letter of termination she said she was not able to do so at the moment she will send out a email. As of now I am still waiting to receive the letter to why my baby was terminated. The email I sent out to her which was very professional is proof of my paper trail.

I love SAB daycare!! They are so personable and lovely. They check in if my child hasn't been in for a few days. They have wonderful classes for my child. I am so thankful for them!
