I researched for months before I chose them. Really happy that I did they are amazing with my children, they are great at following dietary standards if you have special requests even then aren't necessarily medical, my children and my children have learned so much for them they speak English and Spanish and they can even sign a lot of different words. My daughter is kindergarten ready a year early. also absolutely love the app updates and forever getting super cute pictures of my kids and their day at school. I highly recommend you will not find a better place to keep your children.

This is for all the parents looking for Day Care in Cookeville, DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT!!! Take your children to Smart Play next to Cookeville Walmart. I literally just withdrew my children because I arrived there on time, but spent a few minutes looking for my card to pay for their services which ended up me walking in three minutes late. They proceeded to tell me that my child couldn’t come in, but they can take my payment. I pay $300 a week for my kids to go to this facility. I do not receive daycare assistance so this is straight from my pocket. I don’t have problems paying for my kids school. I would even pay double that to get my children into a safe facility for them… Not only did they want my money and not my child, they have teachers hitting children(have internal email for proof.) I even asked if this teacher that hit this child is still with them and I got told we aren’t allowed to release that kind of information, hmmm. I was never given an answer. Although this was prior to my situation today, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I feel like this is God‘s way of telling me to get my children out.. I went to pick up my kid on the 27th and was told that they noticed Oakley was bleeding from his mouth so they started cleaning him up and got the bleeding to stop because it was a lot of blood. I immediately took him home and looked inside his lip. His Entire Frenum was ripped and his lip was still a little swollen. This don’t happen by chewing on a toy or atleast you don’t get swelling. And yes, this is being reported. Parents PLEASE KEEP YOUR BABIES SAFE!

I absolutely love this Daycare and adore the staff! My little one has so much fun and has learned so so much since starting there! When a girl from my daughters previous daycare told my husband that she was so glad we had moved her and that she had found her voice and loved playing with all the kids, I knew we had made the right choice in moving her to Smart Play! My daughter didn't play much, talk much or really interact with her previous daycare, now she's excited to go to "school" to play! Most mornings she goes right in and sits with or goes to thw lovely ladies who work in her class! It does a mom's heart good to know her kids are happy and well taken care of! This place is the best! I highly recommend it if you need childcare!

Very disappointed!!! Before this day care changed ownership it was amazing. We chose it for the security of the video cameras and when Alonnah had her accident they where right on top of it, they called us and showed us the video, also sent it to my phone. I like them so much I recommended them to my sister. My nephew had an accident in class, no call and guess they are refusing to show the video. I go to pull Alonnah out and she sitting in a dirty diaper. Good bye Smart Play, this is a warning for the rest of the parents!

Notes for people considering SmartPlay. -Closed the week of Christmas - Closed the week of July 4th -Closed 4 days of New Yesrs Week -Closed during “snow days” -Closed at 12 on Friday over 10 times during the year -closed for several holidays like Presidents’ Day etc. -They attempted to sell three times in 1 year, finally found someone who just had enough funding and stopped vetting the purchaser because my daughter hasn’t done any curriculum work in three months. -They have stairs in the middle of the play room that several children have fell down on and had significant injuries. I called every daycare in town and they explained that this is not normal. They also expect you to pay for these weeks^ There was even an instance where they just weren’t open on a regular Monday, I went to take my daughter and they just weren’t open. When I asked the daycare teacher she said “they told everyone on Facebook” It was a Facebook group with 13 members. There are way more than 13 attendees at the school. Now on to the actual incident, my daughter. Briley has left daycare with bruises often, and sometimes she would say a particular child hit her. Anyone who knows my daughter knows she’s an extremely kind soul. But the last two weeks she had some attitude problems. There was a kid at school who had been hitting my child, and I explained to Briley to hit back. The following week she hit him three times for bullying her, and was put in time-out and didn’t understand why she was in trouble because she was doing what daddy said. But she got a toy each time, then that Friday she had to go home, and while I was picking her up a father who’s son had just enrolled at daycare “fell and hit his head” but briley explained to me that the bully(won’t mention names) had pushed this man’s son down some stairs. They wouldn’t give this man the camera footage(obviously) Then the next Monday at 9am I get a call saying briley isn’t listening, and I show up and it’s some man whom I’ve never seen(apparently the owner) Trying to tell my daughter what to do. Of course she’s going to be uncomfortable with that. He then tried to talk to me and started to act like he was going to kick Briley out because of her hitting this child numerous times, until I got really stern and explained to him how everyone even his teachers know this child is a major problem. His tone changed significantly when he realized I wasn’t backing down. He went from “we can’t control her, she needs to leave” to “we want to work with you” after a conversation with my fiancé we are keeping my daughter home until Lighthouse Academy has a spot open. We work from home so can afford this luxury, but I would urge you to really do your homework.
