What Parents Say
Small Wonders II receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with praise for staff warmth, communication, engaging activities, and child safety. However, serious concerns have been raised by a small number of parents regarding inadequate supervision, failure to accommodate children with behavioral needs, and poor handling of health and safety incidents.
My baby has been going here for almost a year now. She started at 12 weeks old in the infant room, she is now in the next room up. I usually spend an extended amount of time there due to having other kids with specific drop off times and my work schedule, I'd say I usually hang out for about 30 minutes every day. Anyways, on top of what I see with my own eyes in the class room, I also get an abundance of updates on the app as well. I am just so impressed and so happy with our choice here. The staff are incredible. Ever time we walk in or out all the staff, even in other rooms, all greet my baby by name. Everyone always looks so happy to be there, staff included. It is warm and welcoming straight from the front desk staff all the way to all the staff in all the rooms. My baby, although she is just a baby, still brings home an impressive amount of art projects. They do sensory activities, go on walks outside, read books and dance to music, ect. She's on an incredible routine there too. You can tell she feels very safe and loved at small wonders. I travel a little ways to take my baby here and I would not change that because of how safe and happy we are here. I highly recommend small wonders to everyone that I talk to and I look forward to my older daughter doing summer camp there this year too!
I love this daycare and I will never go anywhere else. My son has been going since he was 3 months old and loves it. All the staff I’ve have worked with and all of the teachers my son has had have been great. They communicate with you, notify you for everything on the app they use and post pictures throughout the day so I know he’s doing good. It’s hard leaving your children when you go to work, but I know he is in the best hands when I drop him off. Thank you small wonders staff for taking such great care of my boy❤️
Administration staff is cool and professional. Daughter no longer attends school due to severe dehydration — school requires parents to self pack lunches and liquids for children …my daughter liquids were being sent back home—-not opened and this happened for 3-4 days (between two weeks she was PT). Other then this incident I recommend this facility to make parents aware of when teachers are changing and get rid of all clutter
My son has a documented emotional disturbance that was brought on by his last daycare facility. I brought him to Small Wonders who said that they would work with him and his social worker to get him straightened out. My son attended one day (which he was not behaving) and I was called to pick him up early. I spoke with the center three times throughout the day and even spent my lunch hour at the center trying to calm my child. I was told that he could not return the next day, but that is social worker was coming the following Tuesday and he could return then. I just received a phone call at 3 pm on the Friday before Christmas saying that they could not welcome my child back at all. They are not willing to work with him, his social worker, and that they do not owe me anything. I now have 3 hours to find my son a new daycare before a holiday weekend. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone take their child there.
I thought this was a great place until my 1 year old daughter was left in a closet with the door shut , Friday September 15, 2023 No one noticed she was not in the room until I arrived and looked around the room and asked was my daughter in there. Two teachers were in the room, five kids. When I brought this to the director attention and how this was unacceptable I was told, she understand and she will review the tape and give me a call. When I reviewed the tape with her she tried to tell me it was 30 seconds, I asked her to slow the tape down so I can see for myself my daughter was left in that closet after following the teacher in there, for almost 3 minutes. All I was told was “she understand, the state will be contacted and I wouldn’t want someone I don’t trust to watch my kid” My daughter is 1, there is no telling how many times this has happened and been covered up. I don’t understand how you didn’t notice a child gone, don’t hear this child, you didn’t check behind you going in the closet or leaving out, why no gate was not put up. I am disgusted with what has happened to my child here.
