Saint Joseph Early Education Center

There was an incident at St Joseph EEC on October 3rd where our 3 year old son was left unattended for nearly 20 minutes locked outside of the school. The daycare has decided to reinstate the teacher and we’ve since pulled our boys from that daycare. I wanted to warn other parents this happened. It took the school 5 hours to tell us this happened and three days passed until they could verify how long he was by himself. The school reported this to the state and it was substantiated. I reached out to the superintendent of schools for the diocese to verify they agree with the decision to reinstate the teacher and they confirmed they know this happened and that they left the decision on next steps up to Father Scott. I’m absolutely heartbroken. I want a Catholic education so badly for our kids, but not at the expense of their safety.

My daughter has gone to the EEC pre-school for two years. I'm not Catholic and decided to send my daughter here because it was close to our house and because, most importantly neighbors and friends have told me over the years that it is a great pre-school and elementary school. They are and we're correct! I have two much older daughters who went to other preschools. There is no comparison. My youngest daughter has learned way more than the older daughters did in their preschools and the teachers and staff are kind, caring, warm, professional, living, and excellent instructors. The facility is fantastic. The other parents are awesome. I think my family may one if the few non Catholic families there and we have not been treated any differently, in fact I think most assume we are Catholic even though many actually know we are not....they just forget about it because it doesn't matter. If you have a chance, send your child here. You won't regret it.
