Rolling Hills Montessori

Rolling Hills Montessori has been an absolutely wonderful place for our family, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found it. From the very beginning, the school has felt like a true community, and we’ve been consistently impressed by the care, structure, and love that goes into the program. The toddler program has been exceptional, and Miss Haley has been absolutely amazing in the Toddler Room. She is patient, warm, and truly invested in each child’s growth. Watching our daughter build confidence, independence, and joy in learning during those early years has been incredibly rewarding. As she moved into TK, Miss Mishelle has been equally phenomenal nurturing, thoughtful, and deeply committed to helping each child thrive both academically and socially. Miss Michelle, the director, does an outstanding job running the school. Communication has always been clear and thoughtful, and it’s evident how well she supports the teachers and the overall program. The school also offers great opportunities for parents to get involved and connect with one another, which has made the experience even more special and helped us build lasting friendships within the community. One of our favorite parts of Rolling Hills Montessori is the outdoor play area. The shaded, nature-filled space encourages exploration, creativity, and movement, and it’s been amazing to see how much our daughter has grown and progressed since starting here 2.5 years ago. We’ve been so happy with our experience that we’ve recommended Rolling Hills Montessori to many friends and several of them now send their children here as well. We are incredibly grateful for the foundation this school has given our daughter and can’t wait to send our other children here in the years to come. Highly, highly recommend.

Both of our boys attended Rolling Hills Montessori, and it has been a fantastic experience for our family. The school has excellent leadership from the principal, and we are consistently impressed by the cleanliness, organization, and thoughtful learning environment. We have seen wonderful growth in our children’s development, both academically and socially. We are very pleased with our experience and cannot recommend this school enough.

Wonderful Montessori program for toddlers. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly invested in each child. The classroom is calm, engaging, and thoughtfully prepared. We’ve seen so much growth and couldn’t be happier.

Update: My son is now entering 3rd grade in Manhattan Beach, and excelling. The skills he learned at Rolling Hills Montessori put him far ahead of the curriculum that the public school was using, and allowed him to focus on socializing. I think that the foundation that Rolling Hills Montessori gave him has made his K, 1st, and 2nd experience wonderful and enriching, rather than a catch up in academics that I see some other students going through. I still give Rolling Hills Montessori 5 stars. -------------------- My son has been at this school for two months, and my experience with the teachers and the school has been great. Everyone is very friendly, well spoken, and care about all the children. The location is beautiful with a very large grass field with plenty of shade. This is a school not a day care with some education, and it really feels like there is a clear trajectory for the academics. If you are on the search for the right preschool, this one really should be on the list for a serious visit. Update: We have now been at Rolling Hills Montessori for 2 1/2 years. I really think that it is an excellent school. The setting is a large slightly sloping grass area, with lots of play equipment, and is very picturesque. The director has filled the rooms with the best Montessori materials that I have seen. There is a deli called Kelly's Korner around the block that will deliver lunch to your child at the school, this has helped a number of times. The only things that have been a little difficult is that they follow the local elementary school schedule, including minimum days. For a two working parent household, the scheduling can be tricky. On the other hand their child care rates a very reasonable (child care is not available on minimum days or the breaks).

This is the best preschool near and far in the area. All teachers are kind and caring. We’re starting our 3rd years there and I can’t think any better. My son has a good behavior he knows how to count write his name, just to mention a few things and his is only four. I highly recommend this place.
