A Truly Special Place for Our Family – PV Hills Nursery School PV Hills Nursery School has been such a treasured part of our family's journey. From the very beginning, it felt like a second home—warm, welcoming, and filled with joy. It’s a place where our child was able to grow, explore, and thrive through meaningful, play-based learning. The teachers at PV Hills are simply incredible. They are nurturing, creative, and deeply attuned to each child’s needs and development. Their dedication shines through in everything they do, and we always felt our child was in the very best hands. The outdoor space is truly everything a child could need—open, inspiring, and full of opportunities for discovery and adventure. Whether digging in the sand, climbing, or engaging in imaginative play, our child was constantly learning and growing through play. Director Neda deserves special recognition. Her commitment to the school and its families is unmatched. She leads with compassion, thoughtfulness, and a genuine love for the children. You can feel her care in every detail. We are so grateful for our time at PV Hills Nursery School. It gave our child a beautiful foundation, and it gave us lifelong memories. We can’t recommend it enough to any family looking for a preschool that truly honors childhood.
Fantastic school. All the teachers are incredibly thoughtful. Our child is thriving here. Such an amazing outdoor space, and the mindfulness curriculum is priceless for toddlers.
My daughter has had an amazing experience at this school. The playground in back is epic and has lots of variety. The director and teachers are great and very friendly. They are good at teaching all of life's skills and in addition to the academic instruction also encourage creativity, exploration, social interaction and play. We've become good friends with the other parents there as well which I think is easy because everyone shares a passion for their kids. I'm glad my daughter got the opportunity to come here and will be sending her younger brother there in the fall.
My 3-year-old attends school here now, and we love it. I was hesitant to send him to school with covid present, but I'm so glad we did. He is in a stable pod, outdoors, with the same students and teachers each school day. The teachers are phenomenal - kind, thoughtful and experienced. They use their vast knowledge about children of this age while also learning each child as an individual (and welcoming parent feedback) to ensure that each child feels safe and supported. They have taken health and safety very seriously and have transformed their traditional in person program into a robust virtual program and hybrid program. I've seen them be nimble in their processes/procedures as more/new information about covid arises, and I am so impressed by the balance they're able to strike between being vigilant about safety and providing a calm and loving environment for the children. And did I mention the space? Gorgeous playground, Imagination Stage, Track for biking/vehicles, Playhouse, Climbing structures, trees and grass galore, and even a real boat for children to climb. The activities are varied and rotated to keep the children engaged. The teachers also take their cues from the children and foster the children's own ideas for play. We will definitely be signing our son up for next year and feel confident that he'll have a solid foundation to start formal schooling.
When we were ready to find a pre-school for our son, I was looking for a co-op style, parent participation, play based environment and found that in PV Hills Nursery School. He has grown a lot in the 3 day class in a short time and our youngest simply cannot wait until he can join the 2 day class next fall. I am constantly amazed when I discover new skills he has learned from this charming school, from self-regulation using mindfulness, to coaching (reminding mommy to take deep breaths), expressing his emotions and experiences, to making friends. I know that PV Hills is working hard to help him get ready for kindergarten. Beyond that, parent participation means gaining more opportunities to learn about how I parent as well. Everyday I find more ways to use the tools I learn by being a teaching parent, from the director, teacher and examples set by other parents. We have easily become a part of this community working to help make a wonderful space for our kids. The beautiful property (what sold me on the spot; you won't find another like it) and recently renovated interior are the cherry on top! I'm excited about what this experience will bring to our whole family.
