Primrose School of Midlothian at Waterford is a beautiful and well-organized school with a caring and professional team. The atmosphere feels warm, safe, and truly focused on children’s growth and development. It’s clear that families are in great hands here. As Let’s Party event agency, we would be happy to collaborate in the future and bring fun, engaging programs and memorable experiences to their wonderful community.
I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with our experience at Primrose at Waterford. Unfortunately, the school has lost my trust in its ability to uphold its core values. We initially chose Primrose so our daughter—an only child—could build meaningful relationships with peers her age. During our last teacher conference in May, we received positive feedback and were told she was progressing well. No concerns were raised at that time. In June, a large group of students, including our daughter, transitioned to a new classroom for the summer. We’ve always appreciated the variety of activities offered during this period. Now in August, just 2 months later, I found out that our daughter—and one other child—would not be advancing to the pre-K classroom with the rest of her peers. When I approached the director for clarification, I was told our daughter was not yet able to write her name or regulate her emotions—concerns that had never been previously shared with us. I was shocked and disappointed that these issues weren’t communicated earlier, when we could have supported her development at home. If you’re considering this school, I strongly recommend meeting with the director early on to clearly document your expectations and goals for your child’s experience. Update: I’ve since learned that the decision not to advance certain students was made to accommodate over 7+ new enrollments into the pre-K program. It’s deeply upsetting that Primrose prioritized new admissions over their existing students.
Primrose is the fourth daycare we have been to. They are without a doubt the most well run, professional, and experienced daycare we have been to. And it isn’t close. Every classroom we have been in has had great, reliable teachers with years of experience. Our sons love their teachers and the entire staff knows and cares about our kids.
The teachers and staff are amazing and love on our children like we do. Their facilities are modern and we always feel our children are safe. Both of our children are happy and thriving at Primrose, and it feels as though the Primrose teachers are truly our partners. We highly recommend Primrose!
This school is amazing! Our daughter went two years with no issues, teachers helped her out a lot with her improvement. Everyone was so friendly, they call each student with their names - you feel like family environment when you enter the building. We really loved it 👍
