Precious Memories has received mixed reviews. Positive reviews praise the teachers' kindness, loving atmosphere, and good care. However, negative reviews raise serious concerns about unprofessional management, inadequate supervision, policy non-compliance, and potential neglect of child safety and welfare.
I think the director Monique is unprofessional and rude lol. Bad customer service. Gave me an attitude over the phone and she sounded like she didn't want to help me out.
This daycare is unorganized, there is no structure, and the director Monique is very unprofessional. These “teachers” are not teachers, they are babysitters. Children are not learning anything in this center. It’s sad. I have witnessed teachers rushing children while they transition, and dragging them by the arm to force them to sleep. Even though nap time is supposed to be 2 hours, they have the students sleep for 3 hours or more. So, that they can gossip or be on the phone without being interrupted. If you bring blankets, wipes, or diapers for your child. They will use them for other kids as well. So you’re not just buying supplies for your child, also for someone else’s. A little girl was bit on her face by another child, her father was so mad, the little girl didn’t come back. These teachers said that it happened so quick but it didn’t. They were too busy gossiping and talking about inappropriate things, that they were not paying attention to the children on their side. Policies are in place by the owner, that are not followed. I was told that the head teacher runs her classroom how she sees fit, despite the policies that are in place. There’s schedules in the classroom that are made up and not followed. Children do nothing productive throughout the day. When I questioned “why isn’t the schedule being followed?” I was told by the director that that schedule doesn’t need to be followed, that it’s sole purpose is for when the state comes to inspect. The right thing should be done by children. Period. Even if the state doesn’t show up, schedules, procedures, and policies should be followed everyday. There’s food that is supplied to children by the federal government. These teachers would give a child a small portion, so that they can eat the food. Even when the child asks for more food, they say “you had enough” or “you’re just going to spill it” but really it’s an excuse so that they can eat the free food provided for the children. Something that I would always remember is when the director told the entire staff that even though we are considered “mandated reporters” that if you see a child with a bruise, or think that a child is being abused, not to say anything because you don’t want to be stuck doing all that paperwork. When I tried to bring these things up to the owner, I was dismissed.
