Bright Morning Star Daycare

the BEST! We have been at Bright Morning Star Daycare for the last SEVEN years. Our three little boys all started there when they were just 12 weeks old and stayed until they were 3. Rosie and her entire staff are like family to us and will forever be a part of our family. I knew, every day, that i was leaving my babies with people who loved them and cared for them as if they were there own. One of the main reasons we chose BMS in the beginning was because of the small class sizes and open floor plan. I can't say enough good things about BMS and am forever grateful for everything they did for our family.

Bright Morning Star is a hidden gem! Rosie, Michele, and the rest of the team at Bright Morning Star are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with BMS. My daughter goes to BMS happy and comes home happy every single day. When we drop her off and pick her up, she gives her teachers a huge smile; she LOVES her teachers! My daughter's growth and development has been incredible, thanks in large part to the work put in and attention the staff gives to her each day. They have helped her to learn how to roll over, crawl, stand, eat solid foods, grasp objects, develop strong hand-eye coordination, socialize, and more all in just a few short months (so far!). Rosie, Michele, Rosa, Nicole, and the rest of the staff have made my family feel safe, comfortable, and welcome since we first reached out to them about sending our daughter to daycare. As a new mom (and a person who did not go to daycare as a child), I had a lot of concerns about sending my 4 month old to daycare full time. I openly expressed all of my concerns to Rosie, and I felt listened to and cared for rather than feeling like I was being "sold" to. I sobbed the first day I dropped my daughter off, but when I picked her up that afternoon, I knew my husband and I made the right choice by sending her to BMS. There were no more tears after that (well, not from me anyway), and we feel confident and trust in BMS every day we drop her off. Every staff member truly cares about our daughter; they celebrate her accomplishments and milestones with us, and they communicate any concerns in a caring and professional manner. They remember the little things about our daughter, which shows me that they truly pay attention to each child's unique personalities, stories, likes, etc. Yes, the place is small, but honestly, I'll take a cozy, warm, loving environment over a large, fancy corporate chain any day. Bright Morning Star is our daughter's home away from home, and she's clean, safe, happy, and THRIVING there. Thank you Rosie, Michele, and BMS staff! We appreciate you!

I absolutely and totally do not recommend this daycare center. We sent our daughter there for a couple of months, and we had an incident with one of the teachers and DCF was called. I brought it to the directions attention and at first she was very very kind. Very understanding. Quite lovely. I felt like I was heard, I felt respected, safe, She responded well. The minute that she really sat with it and realized that this could impact her business, she completely changed her tune. She was nasty and rude and treated us as if we were harassing her. Also, the word on the street among other daycare centers is that BMS pays their employees much less than everybody else. They’re one of the lowest paying in the area so I’vebeen told. This alone tells you about the quality of people who are watching your children. Also, the center is extremely small. They have a tiny area with some toys for the kids to run around outside, but as far as engagement throughout the day, there’s not much compared other centers in the area. I understand if your family doesn’t have a lot of money and you just need a place to send your kid. Then, this probably seems like a good deal. However, with daycare centers, it is very much you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, send your child somewhere else. They will be happier and safer.

I would put my kids in this daycare 5x more if I could. It is small and they take care to pay attention to each kid. Every teacher is a gem and they treat each kid with care and respect. My little one has learned so much, and has become such a great kid in large part thanks to this facility. The derogatory review below is absolutely ridiculous. Not only did an innocent person lose their job over the debacle but any investigations and violations are reported on the state website. Currently the only one there is self reported, which childcare agencies are required to do at the mention of any complaints. So, nothing ever came from it. No one actually called DCF. It's a really unfortunate and terrible thing to lie about.
