What Parents Say
Poinciana 247 Preschool receives mixed reviews. Most parents praise the dedicated staff, academic rigor, and safe environment, reporting their children thrived and felt loved. However, some parents reported serious concerns including inadequate injury reporting, insufficient staffing, lack of responsiveness to parental concerns, and unprofessional conduct.
Sadly, it is time to say goodbye. We cannot be more grateful for everything you did for our child and for us. Adriana loved all the years she spent there. It was her little home away from home. I know that for each parent the experience might be different from ours but , we can confirm your children are loved, safe and cherished there. We were always treated with respect, patience and understanding. Our little Adriana is leaving armed with all the tools needed to succeed. Miss Ayala, Miss Nieves and Miss Ruiz, thanks for your dedication, professionalism and kind heart. We wish you the best. Fam. Bermudez-Rodriguez-Aponte
This facility is very unprofessional. They don’t have current pictures of what the outside of the building looks like. Yesterday I went to attempt to enroll my daughter and upon arriving the entire building and fences around are plastered with over 50 confederate flags! Considering the world we are living in today, it was extremely distasteful and very much inappropriate for ANY educational setting. Wouldn’t bring her there if it was the last option on earth !
It has been a year since my daughter began to attend Poinciana VPK. There have been several issues since then leading up until today when I removed my daughter from there. 1. My daughter comes home with bumps and bruises and no reports or notice, not even a phone call to notify me of what had happened. I actually had to call them only to find out that no one had a clue. 2. Everyone in that building does everyone from answering phone calls to teaching the children yet when something happens and you question it. Everyone wipes off their hands and says they weren’t with them when this happened so they don’t know. 3. There have been times when teachers have called out and they have had no subs in place. I know this from experience when I walked in to speak to someone and the director told the person in the front that she could not speak to me because they had too many children and not enough staff. I’m sure this is a licensing issue. 4. Not to mention the fact that my daughter came home one day and told me that the owner dragged her out of the bathroom after she had wet herself and was embarrassed. I received a long letter of how badly my daughter acted that day and what not. 5. Ms. Cabral has no heart for the children and she is so rude and disrespectful to the parents. 6. I have waited for a whole week for the owner to call me and I have not received any phone calls. They are never there and don’t care to tend to the parents concerns.
Fantastic school ms cabral and the rest of the teachers are awesome! My baby has been there two years or more now and Will be leaving this year.. emotional feelings but ms Cabral is an amazing teacher and has prepped my child for the next step, she will be missed by both student and mom.
My son went to Poinciana 247 Pre-K from August 2012 to August 2013 and I feel I should take the time and write this to let other parents know how great this school is for toddlers. I found this school while driving in the area and I called them not knowing what to expect since I have never heard of this school at all. My first phone call to Poinciana 247 Pre-K was very informative and made me want to try them out that I scheduled a walk thru and was provided with all the information that would put a parent at easy to send her child there. In August of 2012 we met the teachers, at first my son 4 years old did not want to talk or even look at the them so I got a little worried but the following Monday he went to school and when I picked him up and asked how was his day his word was “awesome”. He had his moments in class not listening and doing what most 4 years old toddlers do and the principal requested a meeting with me and we talked about what to do to help him improve and in no time he started improving. This school focuses on teaching students what they will be using once they graduate so If you looking for a school that will treat your child like a baby this is not the school for you. If you are looking for a school they will have graduation and birthday parties for your child this is not the school for you either and they have their reasons for not having parties and I actually understand and agree with it. if you are looking to have your child learn and start becoming a responsible student with discipline this school is definitely for you. The principal and teachers are excellent and I’m very happy that I chose this school and would recommend it 100 percent.
