Our daughter was in the children's house classrooms for 2 years at peace where she thrived and loved going to school! She has transitioned to wcpss kindergarten seamlessly. The teachers are patient, caring, communicative, and long term. We only lost one assistant teacher (who relocated to a different state) in our two years there which is very rare and a sign of a well run program!
My daughter attended Peace for 2+ years and has loved it! I am an administrator with WCPSS and Peace is the most affordable childcare in the area AND incorporates Montessori teaching, which is amazing! Love their global focus and science/ music lessons. My daughter is also super independent (learning work cycles, etc.) which will help prepare her for Kindergarten. I have also recommended Peace to other work colleagues. The staff at Peace were also incredibly kind when I was dealing with a family emergency. Ms. Priyanka, Ms. Autumn and Ms. Sharon are also great teachers!
Peace Montessori is simply an amazing school! We've been a part of the school for over 3 years and plan to stay as long as we can. This was our first preschool experience and the teachers were nothing but supportive and reassuring. Their patience is endless and their expertise in the Montessori method is exceptional. Our son has completely blossomed during his time there. Every staff member is kind and readily available to help out and answer questions. Each classroom has excellent quality materials for the children to learn everything from math, geography, science, language and so much more. Our son just loves his school and his teachers! The staff have created a very warm, welcoming environment for all of the students and families. We recommend Peace at every chance we get. My husband and I really cannot say enough good things about Peace Montessori!
I can only reinforce and echo the other wonderful reviews given to this school. Peace Montessori has meant a great deal to my family. In fact, in many ways it became a part of our family. My child attended Peace Montessori for three years, just leaving this year to attend kindergarten. Everyone that is a part of Peace is simply wonderful. The teachers take a great deal of time with each child and genuinely care about each child's development. For us, one of the most important aspect of Peace Montessori is the sense of community that develops between the children, the teachers and staff and the parents. We made wonderful friendships over the years my daughter attended school. From an educational and developmental perspective, my child made amazing progress. The teachers were able to bring out her best and more than prepared her for elementary school. We are very sad to leave Peace Montessori, but we have the knowledge that Peace gave our child a fantastic start to her education and personal development.
Update 11/2015: My children continue to thrive at Peace Montessori. My son attended our local public school for kindergarten, but we decided to make a switch back to the elementary program at Peace for the remainder of elementary school. The director was very helpful and supportive with this transition. He couldn't be any happier. His teachers are absolutely amazing and have created a classroom where the kids are really able to shine. He is engaged with his classwork, loves to share the new things he is learning with us & is challenged each day. He is gaining an appreciation for the diversity of the world, and learning what it is to be a part of a community. My daughter absolutely loves her class in Children's House, and has learned an incredible amount in her time there. She is on the cusp of reading and is exploring early math. The children are able to explore what interests them in a supportive and nurturing environment. We feel very lucky to have found Peace Montessori. ------------- We have two children currently enrolled at Peace Montessori. We could not be any happier with our experience. We have been met with nothing but support and warmth from the staff. And both of our children are absolutely thriving. We would not hesitate to recommend the school. It has been fantastic in every way.
