We toured here Summer of 2025 and loved the big spacious parking lot, playground, cleanliness and that they accepted ccms. But unfortunately they were very understaffed, did not serve anything other than cereal for breakfast daily, facility not warm welcoming homey feeling or very decorated with decor or kids artwork. This was still our first choice though after touring every daycare in Garland. We are considering touring again in a couple months.
Both of my kids have been attending this day school for some time now and my oldest has been at OAKHILL since he was about 18 months old… he’s 5 now! He’s been through every class and has had encountered every teacher they have on staff. This school is wonderful and I fully trust my kids are being cared for and loved while I am at work. They have cameras, but not an app like you see at other daycares. I feel though it is not needed AT ALL to check up on my kids all day because I feel my kids are looked after very well! They do have a communication app for parents and post videos and photos of your kids throughout the day here and there, which I love! The peace of mind I feel is incredible as every parent should feel like their kids are safe at daycare/school! All the teachers are wonderful and very communicative! All you have to do is ask and they will always try to help or at least respond to every request! Most of the parents I have found are also very good people and have attended my kids birthday parties or whatever outside of school so our kids could group up and hang out. Tracy and Jen are wonderful directors and I will be recommending this school to anyone who needs one in Garland!
My child is autistic and there was one concern with a red hair teacher named Katie he had because she was miss treating my son and it’s on camera that she was treating my son as if he was a dog telling him to go fetch a toy and she was fired but they didn’t let me see the camera and now he has a concern with this one teacher who works there now which she has a son in her class she treats differently from others as well and she provokes my autistic son who is nonverbal by whatever she is doing but they don’t tell the truth of course and think the parents will lie about something like that and has kicked my son out of daycare. They hire anyone and multiple ppl who have told me they have no experience with other kids or at a daycare but want to kick my non verbal son out for them not doing what the therapist are showing how to work with him and also knowing what they are doing to make my non verbal son communicate in a way to show that whatever it is he does not want or want to do and ignores seeing how to make the situation better. PiP the owner of the daycare does not care about the kids but more of the workers. He talked crazy and hostile with me on the phone when I was calm the whole time they have it recorded ! He has animosity with an autistic child and only care about the teacher with no experience words. I’m disappointed i knew the director there personally and she was really good with making sure they worked with my son but new management does not care at all!
Oakhill administration & staff are WONDERFUL! Their commitment and care for my bonus son has been above & beyond any daycare around since he started! We can’t wait to send our middle baby in a few months when he is of age & will send our youngest when she becomes of age also! They love all my kids and treat them like their own and nothing is better as a mother! Knowing my kids get left in the best hands everyday when they can’t be in mine! They are always so quick to communicate with us when something happens. We are blessed by the Oakhill family and I would recommend them to everyone!
Oakhill & the staff are simply amazing! Their commitment and care for my son has been beyond exemplary the last 5 years.
