Parents highlight the caring, intentional teachers (especially director Alison), well-rounded curriculum blending academics with arts and social-emotional learning, and the warm, nurturing community environment. Multiple families report their children thrived and smoothly transitioned to kindergarten.
Neighborhood Children’s House is an exceptionally high quality preschool. The teachers are kind, consistent, and intentional in everything they do. I love the way they blend academics, art, and social emotional opportunities in to each day. They meet students where they are at developmentally and help them grow tremendously. There are lots of opportunities for families to be involved as well. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about this preschool. I’m so grateful to have found it. Alison and her team are amazing educators who genuinely care for the overall wellbeing of these kids. My daughter has thrived at NCH.
How do I give NCH more than 5 stars?? I had two children go through this lovely school and I wish it could have been more. Teacher Alison, Cathan and Elenor are the absolute best —They care for your kids like their own. Hands down the best little preschool.
I highly recommend Neighborhood Children's House. Alison and all the teachers at NCH are excellent, wonderful educators, and people. Alison has created a compassionate, nurturing, fun environment for kids, where they focus on considerate social interaction, cooperative activities and play, but there is also a fantastic curriculum focused on rich, important topics that are meaningful to the kids, and to me as a parent. My child loves science, biology, and geography, and learning about the environment, and I was delighted to see her engage with these topics, among others, in preschool. The topics are engaged through reading, play, discussion, music (excellent music classes, led by professionals), and art projects. We greatly miss NCH, and Alison, in particular!
NCH is amazing. My daughter was reluctant to go to preschool until she met the teachers here. They are truly invested in their students and their families. The staff here creates a nurturing and caring learning environment with a rich curriculum focusing on science, geography, reading, intercultural exchange, arts and so much more. I HIGHLY recommend NCH for any family looking for a great preschool.
