What Parents Say
N.E. Child Development Center receives mostly positive feedback from parents who praise the caring staff, experienced directors, and quality learning activities. However, one parent reported serious concerns about bullying, inadequate supervision, and discriminatory treatment of their minority daughter.
We have had nothing but the best experience at NECDC! Our son started when he was 5 months old, and we only just recently had to leave the daycare because of relocation. I wish we could’ve stayed until he goes to kindergarten, but am so grateful for our time here. Kris and Margie are fantastic directors with decades of experience, and have excellent communication and compassion. Every staff member and teacher is so kind and so loving with the kids. You’ll be lucky if you can snag a spot here!
My daughter attended NECDC for roughly 2 years. We were very sad to leave here after a work transition. It was a really good experience overall for us. The teachers/aides in the baby room were very caring & gave us frequent updates. As a working mom, I found it very comforting to pick her up from school & could smell from her clothing that she had been held a lot. As she grew older & progressed into the toddler classrooms, we were very pleased with the variety of learning activities. Overall, the facilities are nice with an ample playground for the kids outdoors.
I initially enrolled my daughter at this daycare because of all the great things I heard. However my experience was completely different. My daughter who was the only minority in her class was bullied by her teacher as well as peers. I witnessed my daughter being thrown off a bicycle while the teachers just watched . I have also witnessed the teacher taking toys from her to give to other kids. My daughter is now terrified and weak hearted. She still hasnt recuperated. When i decided to pull her out and shared the incident with the director she simply said you know what's best for your daughter. I am extremely dissapointed.
There's dedicated teachers here I have seen the teachers notice when children need guidance and help them to solve thier issues I have seen teachers pay attention to detail of classroom to make sure thier room is safe by making sure every corner is not sharp covering outlets fill attention and awareness of all children. The teachers do alot of art and display on walls do weekly updates and changes to lesson plans and let's parents know what they are learning about. Good at listening to parents and informs well of how they're doing in classroom with others and explain what they do to help solve thier issues with others it's a good program filled with caring attentive teachers my daughter has been going here for about a month and I have already seen alot of positives
We had our son enrolled in both the infant room and after leaving the city and coming back he's now in the toddler room and we love it! It's conveniently located, the meals are more well rounded than other daycares ive seen and the staff are solid. No complaints plus I love that it's in a community center where everyone belongs!
