Miss Joan'S Little School

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Miss Joan’s Little School for our daughter. The teachers are wonderful and seem to truly love and care about all of the kids. The communication from both our daughter’s teacher, and the school as a whole, is excellent. There are fun activities for the kids during the school day, including music and Spanish classes, and many family events, as well. Our daughter has grown so much since starting here, and we are endlessly grateful to the wonderful teachers and staff for creating such a positive, loving space.

Miss Joan’s Little School provided the perfect first school experience for all four of our children. The staff is exceptional, and it’s clear they genuinely love working with kids. One of the things we appreciated most was the low turnover—our children had the same teachers as their siblings, which created a sense of continuity and comfort. The curriculum was thoughtfully designed and engaging, and the special activities were always a highlight, executed flawlessly each time. Our family’s experience was truly wonderful. While we were sad to move on as our children grew older, Miss Joan’s will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Miss Joan's Little School is truly exceptional. The teachers are not only true early childhood professionals, they are kind and caring. Each and every staff member is deeply dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming family-like atmosphere and truly wants the best for each student. My child has thrived in this environment, experiencing significant educational growth and development during their time here. I wholeheartedly recommend this preschool to any parent who is searching for a nurturing and enriching environment for their young child. MJLS is simply THE BEST.

Miss Joan's is a very special school that truly cares about the families & children that attend. My son went there from when he was 18 months old till graduation and thrived throughout his time there. The teachers and staff treated us like family. I never had to worry about him because I knew he was loved and being looked after. When he first started he was shy and the only thing that made him feel better was a Pete the Cat stuffed animal that they had there. The teachers and staff made sure they had Pete ready and waiting for my son every single day until he grew out of it. That is the benefit of a tight knit school - they have the ability to become family, learn about you, and make sure your child is getting everything he/she needs. The curriculum kept him challenged and engaged and we loved the outdoor space the school has to offer. They were able to garden, which I loved! They also got to rides bikes, play in the sand, hunt for pumpkins, etc. I highly recommend Miss Joan's!!

MJLS is a beautifully run preschool program. Krista and Gina (the owner and director) are truly invested in every child and their family. The teachers are all wonderful - knowledgeable on early childhood development and dedicated to making learning fun and engaging. Both of my kids started when they were 18 months old - my son graduated from PreK in 2021 and my daughter will this year. The transition to kindergarten was seamless due to the excellent foundation achieved in this environment. I can honestly say that I will miss the staff because they feel like family after all these years!
