My life is so much easier with help from the MAC team! As a working mama it is a huge relief to know that my kids will be picked up after school, safely transported, and safe until I can pick them up! The preschool program was also fantastic! When my little one started kinder she was already performing at a 1st grade level and completely prepared for school.
If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! I researched daycares in my area and this one stood out. They transported my daughter too and from school every day. Her very first day she wasn’t there for the bus after school and the bus driver called me right away to let me know she would wait for my daughter and educate her on where to meet for the bus. I knew right then I loved this place. My son who had only ever been home with my mom was so nervous to start daycare. Charlene his teacher made sure he felt welcome. She helped inspire him. I watched over time as he blossomed into a more confident child and I honestly give so much credit to Charlene. She is so amazing. Every day after daycare we would discuss how the day went. You could tell she payed attention to every single student. She knew what went on in her classroom. She always has fun and educational activities Planned for the students. With covid it’s changed a few things but they have always done community gatherings to get to know other parents and students, taken the kids on field trips in the summer. You’d be missing out by not bringing your kids here :)
My kids went to this daycare. Very few of the staff members are happy or nice with your kids. I have watched them be very snappy with kids and they will not lay off kids about putting their masks on even though it is no longer required unless you express to the staff that your child will not be wearing a mask anymore. My big issue though is that about 2 months ago my daughter told me that her teacher told her she can change her gender. They had at least 2 different circle times telling the kids that they can be whatever gender they want at that facility and asked them what gender they would like to be. If they didnt change their gender, they would pick a nickname to go by instead. This is in the 6-8 year old room. I spoke with one of the directors and she confirmed this to be true and was unapologetic stating that they didnt mean any harm. I did research further and found that the facility director is trans and has had many surgeries to change their gender. This absolutely wouldnt matter at all except that they are having these discussions with very young impressionable kids. It feels and looks like an agenda. I had a meeting with salt lake parks and rec yesterday who stated that they are making changes but that we live in a new world and they are learning to navigate that world. I did feel way more heard at this meeting but I do not feel that this will completely stop or that they see the problem clearly. I have moved my kids from this daycare and am paying almost twice as much for a new daycare. I would not recommend this place and if you do go here make sure that you are asking your kids what happened in their circle time daily.
Charlene is one of the best teachers at the school. She is creative, kind, and does everything she possibly can to teach her students. She really takes the time to get to know them and plans lots of engaging and hands on activities . She is phenomenal 😍!
Shay is so helpful! I’ve been searching for a daycare to put my child in and she answered every question I had and I will for sure be using them once my daughter is old enough to start attending!
