Apparently we must be afraid to post a review on this site because afterward they ask that your child stops coming to their school. It's really disappointing that they put people who haven't been to school as much as you have behind a desk just because they can express themselves better in the local language with the accent that goes with it. I've already noticed that these receptionists are friendly with their peers, but you who come from elsewhere, you clearly see the difference in the attitude they adopt with you. They allow themselves to explain to me that if my child's teacher is not there, we put him in a similar class where we will give him the same teaching. Which is totally false. I present to you the lessons that his teacher gives him normally and what the other one makes him do when his teacher is absent (We give him a white paper on which he writes what he wants and it's like that every time). She tells me that if I drop him off at 9:30 AM It's normal that he doesn't have breakfast but even when I dropped him off at 9am he didn't eat in the morning (it's normal that I drop him off at this time, I have to give my child something to eat in the morning before coming because when I dropped him off before, he didn't have to eat, yet they make a whole menu saying what the children will eat for the week). I don't know if the other children don't talk or if it's to my child that they do it particularly because I come from a French-speaking country, I should point out that the receptionists in this school are either black American or Spanish. And I forgot when the children don't finish drinking their milk, what's left in the cups, they put back in the milk container to give to the children the next day and I've seen this several times. your child will get thin and stupid there. They are just playing .As they asked that my child no longer go to their school because instead of solving the problem, they get angry if the school readiness does not give me another authorization, they will answer for their actions. Law graduate. / I don't understand this establishment. Most of the time the teacher isn't there. At least 2 days a week since January. Sometimes my child tells me that he hasn't been given anything to eat all day, neither for lunch nor for the midday meal. And when I ask about myself, they say that today's meal is only for children who stay until the evening, even though I signed up for the child nutrition program. In short, luckily the year is ending soon.

I love that I made the choice to come back to Steam. My sons teacher Ms. Sisi goes above and beyond for him. He is learning and she treats him with such respect. He loves her. And my daughter teacher Ms. Tyla she took my daughter right in made her welcome. Has patience with her. I think I made a good choice. Thank you all.

My son has attended Steam preschool academy since he was 9 months old. We initially chose the school based on proximity to our jobs, but I'm so glad we did. Mrs. Angie and Mrs. Jemese are incredibly caring and they are willing to listen and respond to any concerns even after hours. Mrs. Aisbel is still our favorite. My son loves her and you can tell that she really loves all of the children as well. It's been a pleasure watching her train new teachers as her role has changed over the last few years. The school has taken extraordinary precautions during COVID-19. They've brought in cleaning services when anyone has tested positive, they've even gone as far as bringing testing too the school for students. They have organized picture days, had really awesome activities (Ian loved bubble day) they have classroom parties and it's just an awesome environment. When I was looking for schools, I was initially concerned because a lot of reviews were not great... But trust the positive ones. My son is now two and we've had no issues. Every staff member knows and gets my son. He's excited to be there. He has learned and developed so much and as a working mom, it really has put my mind at ease because while he is there, I know he's loved and cared for. I can't recommend this school enough.

My son Shawn has gone there for almost a year his older brother also attended. The staff is friendly and professional. The site is constantly being cleaned which I loved because my son suffers from bad allergies. Ms.Angie knows how to handle every situation promptly , and respectfully!! She’s understanding and does what she cane to help with in her ability to do so. The teachers and staff are amazing Miss Erica , treats my son as if he’s her child and he loves every bit of it and her. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for affordable daycare. They also have transportation services for when school is in for the bigger kids. Sad they had to cancel all fun activities / field trips but their definitely doing what they can to keep these kids safe and excited about learning during these hard times :) !!

Very satisfied with my experience at Steam. My oldest started there when she was one went all the way through Vpk. She started kindergarten above level now she's in 2nd grade with a third grade reading level! My second child goes there now she started when she was two. You're always greeted with a smile when you walk in from Ms.Jemese and MsJessica. Sometimes my elderly mom has to pick up my daughter and Ms. Jemese will go and get her from the class so my mom doesn't have to walk that far. My daughter fell in love with Ms.Cece and Ms.Jackie they know she's not a morning person so they are always ready to get her and comforter her when I drop her off. Ms Jackie even did her hair for her birthday because she asked. This year she is in VPK with Ms. Sandra and Ms. Jackie they take great care of all the kids and challenge them with weekly homework. All the faculty from the custodian to the kitchen to the classroom are always professional. STEAM was the best decision!
