What Parents Say
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Preschool receives mixed reviews. Most parents praise the quality of teachers, clean facilities, engaging activities, and strong preparation for kindergarten. However, two parents reported serious concerns including inappropriate staff behavior and inflexible deposit refund policies.
Both of our children attended RLP for all 3 years of preschool. Our youngest will graduate this spring. We have had a great experience at Redeemer. As a preschool special education teacher, I was very picky when choosing a preschool for my own children. I highly recommend Redeemer! Not only have my children made great friends at Redeemer, but I have as well. They have a great playground with climbing equipment as well as a large natural playground where kids can dig in the sand, roll logs around and discover nature. They also have a large indoor play area so on rainy or cold snowy days, your child still gets to run around and get out all that extra energy (and bike day inside the gym is a favorite!). The teachers engage in positive interactions with the children, understand child development and prepare engaging activities to allow your child to learn through play. Thanks to the teachers at Redeemer, my son was well prepared for kindergarten and I know my daughter will be too!
We love RLP! My 4 year old is in his final year there and my 2.5 year old has just started. I have loved each of the teachers and am glad to get to have each of them again with my youngest. The facilities are top notch and always clean, and the teachers are "magic" people. I like that there's a gym for rainy days and various extended care options to meet different budgets. A real gem and source of community for our family.
Absolutely awful preschool! I would highly recommend avoiding this school at all cost. I personally witnessed an after care teacher yelling and shoving kids against the wall right before pickup. The teachers do not care about the students and I was worried about our child’s well-being there.
We have had a great experience this year at RLP. Our 3 year old daughter loves it! It's just a sweet place to play, learn, and make friends, and the teachers have been wonderful. The morning class (8:30-11:30) is convenient because my husband can do drop off on his way to work.
We had a really negative experience with the preschool director. We had a tour in Dec 2015 and planned to send our child here sept 2016. We paid the deposit in March which was the amount of 2mo tuition = $700. When we found out we had to move the following July, I asked to cancel the spot and they refused to give me ANY amount of the deposit back. This was before the school year even started. Highly disappointing to say the least! As parents of little kids, losing $700 really stings. So think twice before committing.
